I hate doing wheel bearings, so good on you for attempting them. Do you or do you not have a bearing puller/presser? If you dont and have little patience id pay someone to do it, they are a absolute bitch sometimes, especially if your still rocking the same ones as 20 odd years ago. will probably be easier with one. Tip i got after putting mine in: put the bearings in the freezer before you put them into the car. Makes it a little bit easier to put into the trailing arms/struts then take a break and let them warm a bit (or use hair dryer) and then put the hub in. (or mount to hub and then put in freezer would probably work too). Not sure if this actually does help but someone will be able to say no doubt Those prices are on the good side of what i paid for mine so i wouldnt think youd find them much cheaper than that GL

You can get generic adjustable bike mounts that fit to any rack. I looked into them for mine. Thule and Yakima racks are very well represented on E30s on overseas forums and tend to be the rack of choice. not sure if Yakima is in NZ though, but Thule definately is. They stand up a bit for for my personal taste. Edit: youll want to get the deflector for either of the thule or Yakima racks though, they are noisy as hell aparently. If it was me, id get one of those mounts you strap to the bootlid

That ones quite good! coinsedence it actually makes sence the right way, and still has a meaning that could be taken as relevant.. if that makes sence? speaking of backwards ones, i saw iniw once... Mini backwards and inverted. Check the odo history on carjam haha http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=iniw

You would need to modify/replace the pipe that goes to the expansion tank so that it bends 90 degrees to go to the bottom of the built in tank. You may need new top and bottom pipes as well, though the factory ones may work. You would also have to short the sensor out to get the light on the fault panel by the rear view mirror to go away. TBH id just wait for an M20 one to come up unless you are trying to clean up your engine bay

I caned my ankle at work and keeps coming back due to biking to and from work (my only means of transport at the mo), and doctor, work and ACC are all on my case about finding alternative means of transport Anywho.. need a cheap car in the wellington area. would prefer a BMW for obvious reasons, but it really doesnt matter. Will spend up to $1k, other than if its BMW or Merc, or if its a wagon/van/ute with canopy which id be happy to pay more on the right car (BTW to the post whores who no doubt will consider ranting on about my E30, dont waste your/my time)

^not a fan. ive never seen aftermarket E30 mirrors if liked. theres ones i think its off the E34 M5 which are nice though as a bit of a difference to the stock E30 ones

TomTom got me lost three times driving from the sky tower-ish to Rays, and was all motorway errors. was fine in the city though. The one you have brought is the one id get as well

tape on a car was crap last i heard? just toying with you mate, will be keen to see the result. Have seen a couple examples of people doing it stateside and it can be done so its almost undistinguishable from the real thing. GL

Definately. But then whats the 6er for? as a matter of fact, isnt the new 5GT ment to be competing in this sector? All the car magazines certainly seem to think so. An 8er replacement should be built on the same principals as the original imo, looking like a super car and with a huge engine to make it haul ass, with all the latest technology. They have hit the right note building the 5GT in terms of where it fits in in thier model lineup and the name it was assigned. Why would they make that new 8 to compete diretly with it, and bring little extra to the table

My K-Sports are up for sale alongside the Hartges as well. Will come with 205/40/17 GTRadials, should get you through another warrent, but beyond that i doubt it. Will fit rear of any E30, and will fit 316i, 318i and 320i front without spacers (assuming 45mm struts), but will need spacers on the front for 323 and 325i (assuming 51mm struts). Ideally they want spacers all the way around for a better offset. Trial fit/inspection welcome/recommended. Would rather not ship as i can only steal the wagon to ship them once in a while. Edit: whoops forgot price lol.. looking for 600ono. Will go to TM if not sold here

Mental blank last night i ment to list my K-Sports up in here together with these in the one thread but i forgot. Check the for sale forum for those if you want them Yeah have a photo of that. Almost out of bandwidth on my photobucket account so if you give me your email on PM i can send a photo. This goes for all interested. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=29815

I just drive around till ive done around 500kms and then refill and reset the gauge. i end up putting around 35-40 liters in, dont want to let it go any lower than that in case i get stranded some where hah

Schnitzer E36 Ti today.. looked alright for a Ti.. haha

When i got the car it was bone stock save for an alarm so everything thats been done to it i have done. All senders that i have used have been from facelift cars and same as the clusters (have only ever wrecked facelift cars). Keep at it thought mate its appreciated!

Yup thats the one. wasnt sure if that panel is part of the boot or it detachable. Go to it

Was going to hold on to these for a rainy day, but i dont see that day coming so are offered for sale. At this price they arent a steal as im happy to hold on to them, but reasonable to reflect condition and open to offers 16x7.5, et25, 4x100 (E30 fitment), Authentic Hartge Is technically a set of 4, but one of them has quoted irreparable damage from when a bolt came out of my front calipers and it flicked up and ran a groove around the inside of the wheel. Both Rim-right wheels in Palmy (aka Warren, or The Man for Mags) and Arrow Wheels in Auckland said it was not possible/uneconomical to repair based on description, and unsafe to use in present condition. The other 3 are good condition, have the odd curb mark here and there on them. Ill inspect them properly tomorrow and let you know. Had two authentic center caps at one point.. ill see if i can find those as well and will go with the wheels. Tyres are, at this point, not included and not for sale, but that could change $500 ono

i did before the car got taken to pieces yeh edit: which means as far as i know yes. i havent done anything further to try fix it edit2: (after reading the thread) I replaced both left and right senders and still had the same issue. Did not check to see if the level in each side was the same, but the car doesnt run out of fuel.. it must get fuel from the LHside as well.. no way i can do 500-600+ kms on one side of the tank in town driving. So i doubt that syphon tube is the issue. hmm

one day... haha. That would be mean if someone steps up to the plate on this and makes NZs first E30 332iX (possibly Australasia's?)
