Took a few photos on sunday... most didn't turn out too well as i didn't have a tripod and it was kinda dark... -
dad's got a ford explorer v8 limited with now 3 pages (A4) of faults with it. The dealerships in auckland (north shore and south auckland) have been blatantly rude about it. Booking in the thing with the wrong company name, wrong details for work/service to be done (i.e. in for a product recall (although the truck was outside the chassis numbers effect it still had the problems - i.e. wrong fuild in transfer case (or something like that) leading to part failure was listed as a basic service nothing about the recall work, Dad being called an Idiot because he couldn't enter in the stereo code after the service department failed to enter it and intially reconnect the battery (they didn't give him all the numbers for the code), replacing the front abs sensors only to have the problem be with the abs controller and then demanding payment for the sensors, the list continues... Even the product recall problems are returning, because of the crap job the did at intially fixing them... He consults with CEO's and board of directors and expressed to Ford that he needed a car as he had to take out some clients as the repairs where taking longer than expected (in for the 10th or 11th time for some sort of repair), he had assurances for a falcon would be provided for him, ended up with a fesita, complained enough to get a mondao... The only decent dealer we have run into was CCS Audi who have been amazing with mom's a4's and its problems.

That would be the water leaks that fill the passenger and drivers footwells with water when i wash the car... Need to do something to keep them off the streets... But i would rather be busy driving the thing vs fixing the thing... althought it will be very nice when it's done... well not broken... well not as broken... -

When playing with the car on friday night we also heard what sounds to be a leak from the exhaust manifold... Joy anouther thing to add to the list of things to fix... -
Super Starter Kit This will do roughly 1 square meter of metal...

Dare to be different! VIVA LA FRANCE!

Hell even starting it breaks things... I.e. Exhaust manifold sounds like it's leaking now..

If you fit a new on have the insert slot side slightly higher it will help stop the rego card flying/sliding out on fun drives

I find it all rather comical really it's interesting to see what you actually will get pulled over for. The other weekend we where taking the 205 out a fair to test a few things and went past 5 cops and 3 cops on a later trip. The later trip included us not having a front headlight. The is no plate on the front and an Expired dealer plate on the back, yet even following and being directly followed in my rather noisey and lowered car I didn't even get pulled over once, yet you get pulled over for having a germanplate... It's all comical really.

Haha i've spent more on a single tool that i've only used once! I try and find uses for it but never can... In the long run it isn't that much (2 weeks worth of beer) and for someone who doesn't have the electrical knowledge or can do of yourself the Draper Service Reset Tool (or simalar product) would be the best course of action.

Replaced the gearbox fuild last night. Came out dark black with lots of gray in it... joy... Flushed the box with anouther 4 ltrs of fuild before it started to look somewhat like what was going in. Topped the box back up just as it started to rain. -
The car was timing you as you did the oil change and felt you could have done it quicker... no idea. sorry
