I proudly wear my senn 212pro ear muff headphones in the gym (well when i went) as i really hated hearing the grunting idiots, the chatter of eye candy, the instructor for the spin/step/XXX sessions, and the stupidly stupidly loud crap top 40 crap blasting out of every second roof panel...I'd just settle down into my own hard rock world and get it done.... LIKE A BOSS....Â

I think it looks off in the photo as the grill and the big grill are very different colors... If you had them all the same shade of black it would probably look a lot better. The K&H satin black bumper spray from repco will give it a nice finish and and it all simalar color/shine

Modified cars and racecars are moneys pits... 20 - 30 grand can dissapair stupidly quickly... espically when you need to buy new tools and equipment to work on the car...Â

Altiougj it's not really going to stop the breaking or thieft of stuff. Those swan home security camera arn't bad. Buy an oldish cheap ex-lease pc, Waco a big harddrive in it, and have it mounted under the house or hidden well in the house. Setup a wireless network so you can remote desktop the pc to control it. be there you go home survalance. The infrared cameras work very well at night and depending on the model/setup you can run los of cameras off the one pc. Like yours and your grandparents driveways, maybe front entrances and anywhere else you want. Alot of the cameras are now wireless so install is easy. You might not stop your stuff from being stolen but you'd have proof to show the cops. Some insurance companies discount contents and home insurance if you have alarms and cameras setup. M folks old street was a deadens and there was an ex cop in the first house closest to the main road, he had setup 2 cameras to record traffic coming and going along the deadend road.

Others will probably correct me and state why, but my thoughts are that for a road car you really only want to go adjustable damper. I wouldn't see the need to change the ride height a lot on a street car. Evrrytime you adjust the height you would then need a wheel alignment and you also need to have the suspension certified also. The probable best reason for coilovers would be the range of race springs you could choose from to get the handling sorted, or to make minor changes to ride height to make wheels rub less if you don't have the right size/offset. A really good set of either billies that are valved to suit what your intending the car to be used for or a good set of externally adjustable damper shocks would be my pic for a road car. Ok everyone chim in now and let me know if that's all bollixs...

Any reason you really want height adjustables on a road car?

you can see on the wheel are where the metal rim is rubbing on the OUTSIDE of the wheel arch... either a massive arch extention or narrower wheels...

i think we should bring back torture to criminals... have a big book of things the victom can choose from... nothing to say this is too harsh just victom chooses...

you guys should get those cheap plastic Parking for XXX signs and have them in the staff car park.. A whole line of Parking for BMW's only in the carpark with all the bemmers lined up in them would be rather comical...

Think of it this way, should you seriously injure the idiot she/he would then be on ACC, which would mean YOU pay for them to receive care, then go onto the sickness benifit as they can't work, which YOU pay for... and while they are not working, they have time to get bored and go break into other peoples sh*t, which YOU pay for in insurance fee's.... anyways you work it... it screws you over... isn't it lovely...

Ohhh don't know about that... Pugs are uber fussy, and you need to really maintain them or they hate you and throw their toys.... Bought the 306, had a PPI done by a well known company, and well yes... 5 days after having the car took it to my mechanics as there was a knock (wish i had him do the inspection), list of problems within the first 2 months of owning: 1) top engine mount (1 week) 2) both vac pods that control variable intake system (noticed not to be working when above was fixed) 3) siezed right rear caliper (noticed not to be working when 1 was fixed) 4) Horn failed WOF (not loud enough - 3 months later) 5) rear axle had bearing issues causing positive camber while cornering left (toe settings -0.5 and 1.7+) 6) battery failed 7) lower engine mount (4 months after purchase) 8) cambelt torn 1/2 way through and was splitting along the belt from previous owners incorrect installation of tensioners, water pump leaking (all 1 yr and 20,000km old) (9 months after purchase) there are a few other things but minor within the first year... now its been 5 years of ownership and it's been solid up until now but at 175,000km stuff is worn and needing replacement...Â

That alloy plate will be very slippery when it's raining and your shoes are wet...

I've got the 205 covered for 5,000 a year with them... I had the option to do 8,000 for something like $100 more a year...
-
how many km's a year do you do? Look at Classic Cover if it's less than 8 - 12 as they won't cover anything more than that... they are underwritten by Vero so you could also try them.... I think Hi-Tech had anouther company also.

All future race car work has been put on hold. (rego on hold also) I've been asked to trial for the NZ Men's Lacrosse Team as the possible starting Goalie, for the world cup next year and with it being in the UK - i'm looking at a min of 5 grand i'll need to save. So unfortantly the money pit will not be getting fixed anytime soon - bar me winning lotto or something. I'll continue to do cheap maintance stuff like, removing surface rust from under the car and repainting it with zinc based paint, and looking at doing the same for all undercar components. I'll look at making up a lovely work list so once the savings for the world cup has finished i can attack the car again.... -
how F!@KING coool would it be rocking through a Mcd's or Burger King drive through in one!
-
^^^ Thats the ideal way to do it... I've seen people cut their gaskets to be larger as they overported the head...

Have  you matched the port openning to the gasket also? You will want to go over it with a 120ish to give it a "polish" no finer than 150grit tho, you want it to be smoothish to the touch but not mirror smooth. Make sure you give the head a good wash and a blowout as you might have metal filing (most likely) in the water jacket openings now and you don't really want those going through the coolent system. kerrynzl: those world heads are very average... I know people would change to OEM replacement heads from other manufactures as they where known to be on average 5-8% better flowing than the original OEM heads and when you in a "controlled" "stock" racing series that 5% makes a big differance.Â
