  1. could also be one hell of a starting point for an M73 conversion if anyone was game enough to have a go? 330ci, 12 pots and full M suspension plus interior. absolutely no idea if it'll even fit but f**k it'd be cool!!!
  2. Have a set of 16" x 7" Momo Sports offset 32mm (?) from memory? Two wheels perfect. two with light buckling, suspect they'd need to be professionally straightened. Have been sitting in the shed for about 5 years now. No idea what they're worth

  5. I'd have thought somewhere between 8-11k ish would be realistic for an M3 given miles and condition. Sure, she's looking pretty tatty but also shows a massive potential that normally isn't realistic in a car with fewer ks etc - anyone else see an engine rebuild with added turbo goodness? Plus at least he's being upfront about the cars weak points instead of trying to fob it off as better than it is. IMO too many people get hung up on what a car looks like - does a dented door or missing heater vent really matter that much when you're cranking along at 120mph on the track? We're all experts on what a car should sell for when it's not our car for sale. Good luck with the sale Sam, someone's gonna buy themselves one hell of a project

    Just split the key open, no chips or circuitry to be seen. Just a small annoying spring that flew out and now resides in the one spot underneath my computer desk I can't reach. Any recommendations to where to have the replacements cut? Would the local Armstrong get it right first time?

    Have looked up the VIN on ETK, puts the build date at 04/94. Key is a chrome shaft with a wee LED torch thingy in the body instead of remote lock / unlock buttons if that helps

    Can anyone tell me if my 1994 325i has EWS? My car only came with one key and I'm trying to figure out what my options are with regards to a spare key or two. Sorry if the info is already posted, but I'm damned if I can find it. Cheers

  17. LS2, LS7 or supercharged Ecotec. I'd imagine you wouldn't have a shortage of Holden parts up those ways, if you were looking for a challenge how about a Barra 240T? Or defer to those that know what they're talking about and go the M50B28 transplant route or just get a car that came with one ex factory. Much easier Good luck!

  21. So a mate of mine has a '93 318i manual, nz new with a totally naffed interior that he's looking at upgrading to a newer model. Aside from the shagged cloth and non-existent headlining it's in pretty good condition given its 330,000+ kms. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Getrag 220 (?) fitted to the 318 would be a straight bolt up fit to the M50B25 in my car? The input shaft bearings are in need of replacement but other than that mechanically it seems to be in decent shape. Did I read on here somewhere that the 318 sway bars are a thicker diameter than the M3 items? Would the stock 3.15 diff and prop shaft suit the M50? (Assuming the manual driveshaft would be longer than the auto version?) Add to the potential manual conversion all the panels I need to hide the many battle scars on my own car (CalypsoRot too - score!!) and the added bonus of a full spare set of lights ( I seem to attract flying stones like Mick Jagger attracts chicks) PLUS 3 keys with locks and EWS to suit (our car only came with 1 key) it could well be the steal of the century. Bearing in mind no project is EVER as easy as it sounds what potential gremlins do I need to watch out for? Will the flywheel & starter on the M50 marry up to the 220? Will I need a different size clutch? And what about recoding the ecu post conversion? I realise most of the answers I need are hidden on the forum somewhere but it would be great to have all the info in one place
