Any idea on shipping to Aucks? Bare rims only?
  2. I looked up the vin this afternoon and it left the factory as a limo spec M30, would tuning house mods show up on the original build sheet? Does seem like its been rebadged, the only images I've seen have Racing Dynamics logos on left side of the trunk and replacing the bm roundel. Looks like I've got my hopes up for nothing
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't exhaust gas temp range around 200 - 600 odd degrees centigrade at the ports? How on earth did that not melt into plasticky goo and run into the cylinder?
  4. Stumbled across this on tardme this afternoon - anyone know anything about it? Have searched google and so far have drawn a blank. Seems like an intriguing little project
  5. Hi all Have seen a silver E36 in the Sylvia Park parking lot a couple times with a set of 18" style 58s. All sitting nice and flush, car has been lowered but apparently otherwise stock. http://www.bmwtips.com/tipsntricks/wheels/bmw_wheel_058.jpg I'm 95% sure they're an 8.5" wide rim with a 48ET - how much of a PITA will these be to get on my 325i without rubbing or fitting camber kits etc? I tow with the car fairly often so am not keen on lowering it and would be really happy if I can fit 245s on the arse, probably run with 215s at the pointy end. Any suggestions gratefully accepted

  7. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=21815 Fusebox and relay setout for E30s Is there a fusible link for the +12v from the battery? If so check for good clean connections with no corrosion or degradation of the link, corrosion, wobbly cables or such - same applies for the main earth from the battery and the engine earth strap. Failing that it could be the master relay?
  8. Someone's in for a mean bargain here - GLWS!
  9. Six degrees of awesomeness - I haven't laughed that hard in ages!
  10. Bitchin' E30 M3 with a 1M hot up it's tail on the St Lukes offramp around 5:45 Sat afternoon. Then yelled at by girlfriend for driving whilst staring out the passenger window. Way too slow to get photos but had a grin on my face for ages afterwards
  11. There's a black E46 coupe I seem to spy regularly on the NW motorway approaching the Sh1 link, M3 badged and kitted, however through the drivers side tailpipes you can quite clearly see road surface. Running on the assumption it's at least a 325i, why not just get an E36 that really is an M3, similar dollars plus the added advantage of not looking like a pretentious twit!
  12. Is this a little optimistic or am I becoming a cynical tightwad as I get older? 300+km, auto in need of full overhaul / replacement for more than 8k plus the cost of the trans? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-455161134.htm
  13. Silver E36 B3 Alpina 3.0 northbound on the southern m/way near Manurewa just after 4 this arvo. Anyones on here?
  14. *involuntary drooling!!* now, to ask the inlaws for a lazy 100k loan, for a "family' car, of course
  15. Easy way to gain 50-odd kW I guess. Kinda have to agree that for the same effort why not shoehorn a dirty 8 in there....LS 7 anyone? Still, an 'charged 3.8 from a VX Commy would make for something different....... would sound a hell of a lot nicer than a rotary for starters!! Each to their own
  16. Going by the PickaPart website theres a 2.5l E34 at the Mangere yard, less than $20 if you're keen enough to salvage it yourself Doesn't say if it's an M50 though
  17. Hi guys, looking for an indicator relay to suit the ever-temperamental 325i. I've contact cleaned and then replaced the indicator stalk, seemed to work great for a couple of days then on the way home this afternoon the left turn signal decided to have a rest. Again. Anyone with a spare lying around I'd be grateful to hear from ya
  18. Was that a desert daywalker I spied at 4:02?????? Haaaaated the song though - even the dog got up and walked out of the room!
  19. I think you'll find pretty much everyone here is in awe/admiration/appreciation of what you're doing with your projects - and for that matter everyone else that is documenting their builds or offering invaluable advice. We all visit this forum because in some way we all love our Germans - would be nice to keep that in mind instead of sh*t stirring for reasons unknown. Keep up the updates crunchy, am hanging out to see the end results!
  20. ....and silence filled the room........ keep up the good work - if this is what you do for fun I'd love to see what you do for your clients!
  21. Can I come and work for you? Pleeeeeeeeeease????
  22. Sweet Jesus man, this is beyond impressive! Easily the most intensive build I've seen since the father-in-law embarked on the Healey, difference being you're crazy enough to hybrid two generations together! Kudos to you sir! So subscribed!! More please!!!!!
  23. Lol, page loaded in Swedish when I accessed this morning +1 for the link, cheers!
