  1. Do you make things like this up or do the voices in your head tell you? Cheers Grant
  2. I have washed the Passat once in the 5 months I have owned it and that was only because I got a free carwash from the gas station. However I was thinking yesterday that I had better give it another clean. The Subaru gets a clean regularly. When in NZ I used to get the cars washed at least once every 2 weeks
  3. That is awesome. Whoever you are...nice work!! Cheers Grant
  4. Driven one?I would imagine that they would be pretty good fun. I do find it funny how many people on here agree/disagree with the list when they wouldn't have driven a vast majority of the cars on the list
  5. I'm all for the Lego. It will get his brain active, enhance his problem solving ability, and develop creativity. Otherwise sporting equipment or things that will mean he is active an doesn't end up another fat innactive kid that is glued to the TV/computer/playstation. Both of these are things that also encourage a high level of interaction with others so are cool and can be used for years. Cheers Grant
  6. Very nice car indeed. Good luck with the sale. Cheers Grant
  7. Amazing - worth its weight in gold. Glad to hear that a major accident was avoided. Cheers Grant

Happy birthday Nick. Hope you are suitably spoiled. Cheers Grant
  9. You mean those rules don't apply anymore?
  10. Hi All The moderators have made some subtle changes to members profiles, and we would appreciate it if you could go in and complete two areas of your profile for us. This will mean that additional information will display when you post. We have discussed this at length and feel that it would be a great idea to know people's names and location. We are notrasking you to provide your whole name, but at least your first name, and if possible the first letter of your surname. We are also not asking you to put your actual address for the location, just the city or town that you live in. For example look at my details to the left of this post, it have a name field (in my case Grant S), and a location field (in my case Sacramento CA). This is all we are asking. We think that this will be a a valuable addition to the forum. Potential areas of value would include 1) when you meet someone in person and not on the interweb you can put a real name to the face and not know the person as "bimmerking123" and, 2) if you are having a problem or need help diagnosing a problem knowing your location can help the experts like Glenn point you in the right direction to get help. It will also let other members in your area know, and maybe they can be of assistance. If you have any issues or concerns with this, please feel free to send a PM to me or any of the other moderators. Again, thanks for doing this for us, we appreciate this, and think that everyone will see the value. Cheers Grant (on behalf of the moderating team)
  11. I give you a 10/10. That was pretty damned funny. Nice work.Cheers Grant
  12. Well done. That is very cool, nice work
  13. Hi All I spent yesterday at Infineon Raceway (Sears Point) in Sonoma near San Francisco yesterday to cheer Scott Dixon on in the Indy Car series. It was a great day (cloudless from noon onwards), however Dixon did not have a great result. Even though we are luckily enough to have an ozone layer here, and I applied suncreen at least twice during the day, I am a tad burned today. The track was great, it is in the middle of wine country, and just appears out of no-where. As it is the height of summer, the landscape is very baron and dry (it does green up a lot in winter) He was shunted and spun on turn two of the first lap, fought his way back to 11th, and then got shunted on the last corner of the last lap to finish 13th. Wade Cunningham did ok in the Indy Lights race, finishing mid pack after surviving an un-assisted spin. Here are some photos (sorry they are very average, as my camera had a flat battery and ended up having to use my phone). However I went with a mate who had a good camera and got some good shots, so I'll post better pics as well once I get them from him.
  14. Fantastic pics, and a great group of very well presented cars. Atta - your E30 is phenomenal.
  15. I have been buying it each month - I think that it is a great read.
  16. I'm not here to argue with you, and can appreciate that you are making a stand for your mate, but someone who has, in their short time on Bimmersport already had a "warn" level of 80% is someone that does more harm than good. You are right, it is my (and the other moderators) decision, and it has been made. That is the end of the discussion on this matter. Cheers Grant
  17. Yup same car - it has been discussed to death.
  18. You my friend can f**k off. You add no value to the forum and are therefore banned. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Have a nice day Cheers Grant
  19. It wasn't aimed at any one person, it was a general comment.
  20. Yup - fair point. I wasn't aiming my comment at you, not at all, in fact on the whole you have been rather amusing tonight.
  21. For god's sake you morons. Glenn has more BMW knowledge in his left (lug) nut than any of you you will ever have in your lifetime. When he offers advice, follow it. Cheers Grant

    Bimmersport Slogan

Love your work - kudos to you.

    Bimmersport Slogan

"Bimmersport - Proving the ass in badass"
  24. Sounds ideal - but I wouldn't employ Simon. I don't think that Northland is ready for the Homax Purple of its owner
