I can't remember the site, but there is a thread on one of the VW sites dedicated to the Rats, it is many many pages long. Some of the Kombi's are fantastic. Cheers Grant

I do love the Rats though. They have a massive following here.

It is a plain boring B5 1.8T, but with a manual gearbox. I have not seen it for a week, it is getting a mechanical makeover. I am leaving the exterior scruffy, as I am a tight ass, and park it in a dodgy area downtown (amongst the homeless people) for work to avoid paying for parking. I figure, that the way it looks it is not a theft target. I even gave away the fancy 17" wheels that came with it and put on standard 16" OEM rims. I paid nothing for the car, and it has been rather reliable, and goes pretty well considering it has a small engine with only a mini turbo. Cheers Grant

Yup - like me!

This thread gives me many laughs. I love all the armchair experts. Cheers Grant

Interesting read, I have no idea where the colours came from, so this sounds good to me! Cheers Grant

These are very cool. I like the first one. A room with a view! Cheers Grant

I don't think this thread should be closed, and think that it is an interesting debate. I would like to contribute, but will do so later (it is currently midday on Friday here in the goold ole' US of A, so I am busy at work - and I want to put some thought into my input). I would like to however stress that everyone please keep this civil, and respect others opinions. This is a very touchy subject, and on ein which there will be many different and opposing opinions. Just because someone has an opposing opinion to yours it does not mean that they are wrong, or an idiot. Cheers Grant

Antony - sorry to hear that. All said and done though, this was a pretty amusing read - nice attitude to the blown headgasket. Good luck on the repairs Cheers Grant

Good god - this is the biggest case of the pot calling the kettle black I have ever seen.Emily - quite frankly the moderators are getting damned sick of you constantly having a go at Shady. It is time for you to well and truly pull your head in if you want to remain a part of this forum. To Shady's credit he has not once taken the bait, and even his response here was a mature, non confrontational one. The moderators couldn't give a sh*t about any beef you may have with him, but we don't want to see it aired on here any more. Cheers Grant

I bet in your industry you must hear a huge amount of bullshit. I don't know how you could keep a straight face. Cheers Grant

I never have this problem. In fact I have never had this. Must be like the road rage incidents. Maybe I'm just lucky Cheers Grant

Are you sure about the rear screen Glenn? I had both of my E36's rear screens tinted by tint-a-car (along with the sides) to minimise the sun getting in the kids eyes (Clay was in a rear facing infant seat at the time). I'm sure they wouldn't have put it on if it was illegal.Cheers Grant

Hi All This thread was started as a bit of good light hearted fun, that is not meant to be taken too seriously. Already it is contaminated with e-experts putting forward their highly subjective opinions, and stating them as facts. Lets get back to the original intention of this thread, and treat it as a bit of light hearted fun. Let's also keep away from bashing other brands of cars just because of what you have heard and think it is cool to post, and therefore making sure you are firmly placed on the bandwagon. As far as the green Civic is concerned, personally I think it looks terrible (my subjective opinion), but have a high level of appreciation of the work and effort that has gone into it. Also remember differing opinions on something is a good thing. The world would be one hell of a boring place if everyone thought the same. Cheers Grant

Yay, a new (essentially what is turning into a) Honda bashing thread. How original. I thought we had all got past that. I'm quite a fan of Honda's and there are several models I'd quite happily own. Cheers Grant

You got that right! It is great to see. Cheers Grant

It's from Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange"Cheers Grant

Looks fantastic, great work. Between your wagon and Apex's one, there are probably few better looking ones anywhere, if at all. Cheers Grant

Ryan you are a noob on this forum and a fair proportion of your whopping 33 posts have been confrontational. Therefore stfu if you have nothing constructive to say, especially if to more senior respected members on here. Cheers Grant
