Just don't change it in an enclosed space, no matter how well you think you have drained the fuel lines, you will spill petrol everywhere.Cheers Grant

That makes sense......

What do you mean?Winston is still on on the list vote, and so is Jeanette (who never actually campaigned in her home electorate, but concentrated instead on the party vote)...at this stage anyway. I'n not a fan of the Green Party, but feel they have a legitimate say and should be represented in a minor way. I am glad Winston is still in, he is after all, underneath it all a good politician, and does do a good job of keeping the other politicians honest. Cheers Grant

I voted Labour (with both of my ticks), glad it looks as though they'll still be in power for the next 3 years. Cheers Grant

I am ripping my CD's using Windows Media Player, it seems to work ok.But I'm no huge audiophile, so it sounds ok to me, should I not be using WMP? I take it that is I get an iPod, then I can still upload files ripped using WMP (i.e. I don't need to use iTunes or other specific software)? I take it that mp3's are all the same (apart from the choice of quality you choose to rip them to). I'll check over the weekend for a line in on the Pioneer in my car. Cheers Grant

Mind you, that was at less than 5,000 rpm's when mine leaned right out....bloody Motronic 325i ECU on a 2.7.Cheers Grant

I was thinking the same thing...therefore I give it the thumbs up (I have always liked the original 240z).

How come?I admit to being a bit thick on the flash audio side of things. I am looking at getting an iPod, mainly to use in the car, as I have been ripping all of my CD's to mp3's. I was looking at the FM transmitter, and thinking it was a good idea, as I have a reasonably new Pioneer Single CD Car Stereo, and don't really fancy having to change it. Cheers Grant

It looks like a terrible "autosalon" entry to me. Mind you it does have a certain kind of appeal to it, but not my cup of tea.

Maybe she is just embarassed, and doesn't want you to see what she does in her "night time job"

That is some seriously funny sh*t, well done, quite possible the best post ever placed on Bimmersport. I vote we give Damokwondo a whole series of sticks, and a couple of special throwing stars to wield on here. Legend effort, glad to see the shot at the front of some of Hamilton's finest establishments. Cheers Grant

Without a doubt In fact it should be made bigger, and have poisonous metal barbs embedded in it. Cheers Grant

You are exactly right, the Lion Brown from the Brewery on the waterfront in Wellington, is actually really nice. I was very surprised.

Just call it Budvar. I will have one from time to time (it is bloody popular at my squash club), but it is a bit bland for me.Still 10x better than the American Bud (which is supposed to be a copy of Budvar). Cheers Grant

I suspect that there are a few beer fans here. I am a huge beer fan, and now that I am getting older I am leaning heavily towards quality over quantity. What are some of your guys favourites? I am blessed and live within 2 minutes walk of Galbraith's, probably NZ's best Ale House. Not only do they have a massive amount of diverse beers in stock, they also brew 8 different brews themselves. Currently my favourites are: Pilsner Urquell (Czech) - probably been my outright favourite for about 5 years. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (USA) Sam Adams Boston Lager (USA) Erdinger Weissbier (Germany) Bohemian Pils (Galbraith's, NZ) Baroona Original (Wakheke Island, NZ) Limburg Weissbier (Hawkes Bay, NZ) I am not a huge fan of the traditional English/British beers, but I don't mind a Guiness or two on St Patricks Day. As far as New Zealand Beers are concerned (I think that we are reasonably blessed with good beer here), I like most quality lagers (this excludes rubbish like Export Gold). Just interested in what you guys like, or if you are happy with the likes of Lion Red, Tui, Heineken or the other traditional beers. Cheers Grant

Good idea, maybe even a general tool database (not just specialty ones), there are some common tools that people rarely need to use, and if you can borrow one then it is easier (and cheaper). Cheers

Do you have any carparts in your bedroom?
Grant replied to bumpstop325's topic in General Discussion
No, I have a perfectly good garage for car parts. And besides, it wouldn't go down to well with the better half. Even so, I try to keep any excess bits to a minimum in the garage. -
Have you actually seen it in person, and vouch for its authenticity? I was tempted to go and have a look at it yesterday afternoon. However I doubt its authenticity. The first thing that got me was that the Alpina badge on the back is on the wrong side. Authentic Alpina's have their badge on the right hand side, and the model on the left. Also, the price is a bit on the cheap side. In saying that, I can't deny it is a nice looking car from the photo. Cheers Grant

Hahahaha, that was some funny sh*t. Cheers Grant

Earlier this year I spent $700 for a gearbox overhaul/rebuild (as well as a second hand gearbox I bought from Petone for $200), due to a knackered selector shaft. Although there was actually nothing wrong with the box, the knackered shaft was chewing seals, and therefore I always had an annoying minor leak. Apart from that, a new clutch kit a few months ago (about $400). As part of the gearbox overhaul/rebuild I had good quality fully synthetic fluid put in, I don't plan on changing it for a long time.
