you mean to say that isn't real...I'm gutted.

You have missed your true calling...However, I disagree, I am all for the practicality of of a 4 door sedan. My whore pulling days are well and truly over, but even during my days of having a coupe (I had three of them in a row before my E30), I don't think my whore pulling ability was enhanced (however that may be me...not the car). Cheers Grant

I'd take it back to them, if they made it worse. Actually was just in a meeting and was facing the window over the carpark, your car is sitting at a nice height now with the new springs in. Euro plates are looking good too. Cheers Grant

Sounds like it to me.Get them to re-align the wheels, they should do it for free, and also get it right. Cheers Grant
-
Good effort Matt. You are to be congratulated. As Cam said...buy these. Cheers Grant

Did the BM Workshop fit the springs? If so, who broke the seat?Where did you get your alignment done? I have had my last 2 done at Newmarket Tyre Services. They seem pretty good (it is where I have bought my last two lots of tyres from as well). Cheers Grant

I think that your flux capacator is out of alignment. seriously, take it to a mechanic and get it checked out, it could be one of many things. Cheers Grant

I noted that your previous post was of a satirical nature as opposed to a racist one, but was afraid others wouldn't, so discretion formed the better part of valour on my part.I also think that I will have to lock this thread pretty quickly...but will leave it unlocked at this stage. Cheers Grant

I realise this, my comment wasn't aimed at you, it was more of a general warning to all.I have seen these threads before, and also what they soon degenerate into. Cheers Grant

All bets are off, the verdict is already in. I'll leave Gus to explain. Cheers Grant

Hello Just a reminder that any racist comments in this thread will be deleted or edited. Cheers Grant

Happy Birthday Ryan Hope you had the chance to celebrate last night, or will you power on tonight in celebration? Hope you have a great day anyway, and enjoy being 18, it is a fun age to be. Cheers Grant

I can vouch for them, they look really good, and are very very bright. Cheers Grant

The ECU is located near the drivers door under the panel that runs under the steering wheel. (it is parallel to the road, and you will find it by putting your head under there and looking straight up).I'm pretty sure that you will have the Alpina one (it is tuned for the 2.7). Cheers Grant

Please, for the love of god...don't!!

I think that you will find that is is a racing Kart.Cheers Grant

I beg to differ with Carl and Cam I'd actually get it checked out. My recent major drama's sounded a little like what you were talking about, before the big end bearing in the no. 6 cylinder finally gave out. The noise (right before it got really bad) sounded as though it was coming from under the gearbox...kind of where the cat is. Just before it got really bad, the noise in mine increased with acceleration, and then disappeared at around 4500rpm's. You (with any luck) may just have a minor problem, but if I were you, and for peace of mind, get it checked out. A specialist should be able to trace the noise pretty quickly. Cheers Grant

Awesome car. I take it is started life in South Africa? How long has it been in NZ? Also if I'm not mistaken, it will have the Alpina ECU chip (created especially for the SA 2.7 Motorsports). If anything should ever happen to your car (touch wood it doesn't). Can I place myself at the top of the list to buy the ECU off you? Cheers Grant

HiWelcome to the site. I know that this won't help you re-set the light, but it will help the rest of us understand your message. In future (please don't take offence - I hassle everyone who uses 'text' language on here), can you post in english and at least attempt to spell words correctly, otherwise it makes the rest of us read the message a few times to understand it. For the benefit of everyone else: mabe = maybe letha = leather wount = wont hurd = heard (unless it means rounding up livestock - which then it would mean herd) sistem = system ne = any Good luck getting the light sorted. Cheers Grant

Timo...I've been stalking you (Picture from Taupo Driver Training last year) Cheers Grant

Thats what I mean, buy the part from the dealer and then install it yourself. How hard can it be its only a sensor.Cheers No no - thats 600 for the sensor - not the installation Bloody hell, I'd look elsewhere too. Forget my Dealer suggestion....Cheers Grant

I have just done 350km's in my car (been in the Waikato for work). It is running awesome, much better than before (I'm pretty sure it isn't my imagination). The power delivery is so smooth, far better than before. I'm sure it feels more powerful than before too. Getting used to a new clutch, and having it bite so much earlier has taken some getting used to. I've noticed other things to, before when changing down from 5th to 4th to accelerate (i.e. to overtake quickly) used to be a little savage, not it is completely different and the drop down a gear and accelerating is significantly smoother. The only noise now is a bit of valve-train chatter, and there is no engine rattle at all. I'm very happy (even though my bank balance is a little less amused.) Cheers Grant
-
it still has a little valve train noise, like all E30's, but the rattling (very CSL like) noise under acceleration is gone.I had thought it was the Catalytic Convertor...but apparently it wasn't. Cheers Grant

well if you must know....$4,548A little more than I had hoped for to be honest, but what can I do, it needed to be fixed, and the car was worthless with a knackered engine. Now it looks like I have an E30 for life, I will never be able to re-coup a fraction of what I have spent on it, even in the last 12 months. Cheers Grant
