Begg Security in Dunedin have a key scanner (only one in Dunedin apparently) so they just scanned that key (the worn one) and typed in the code to this machine they have which laser cut me a generic spare and i gave them that genuine blank I've had for a bit now to use every day oh, and when I went to the dealer they weren't very helpful... "the only way to get your key code is to remove the lock" and when I got them to order in a new pair of keys.. they got a pair of bloody tiny "spare" keys. Today I did boring sh*t

I had my shitty copy scanned (for the code) and cut onto a spare blank. Difference is everything. Left key is old one. wouldn't open the doors without wiggling, wouldn't work up one way in the ignition... would get stuck in doors.. ect.

Right, well shocks arrived today. Do I need shock boots for the Koni Adjustable shocks? as there were none in the pack. and should I replace the spring pads? hopefully autolign would have something like that.

I can do the springs easy, just might be easier to get someone else to swap the cartrages over, dad reckons he's got a mate with an impact wrench.. gonna borrow his hoist to do the actual pulling bits out of car oh, i have lowering springs too finally...

Struts are already out of the car... ( bought complete 51mm struts to put new shocks into ) Might just have to take the struts & new shocks to autolign or something.. don't have an impact wrench.

can they check CV's without driving the car? my wof place doesn't even drive the car faster than 2km/h.

Thank you Glenn, was a bit worried there ha. Now how do I pull the shocks out :0 the shock just spins.. and the vise grips don't grip the shock.

Dad uses it in his BA Falcon. much better.

Will I have any warrant issues if I go and use ABS struts in my non-ABS car? Just realise the struts I bought some time ago, are ABS struts.. my car doesn't have ABS.

Why does it need to be that low? Meh, just pay it, you've done it, should have thaught of that before you lowered it that much :S

Still after stuff... Even if you have a broken OBC unit I'd be interested for parts. (especially a metric one) Only really need a Code plug for a Facelift 325i.

Now I'm even more pissed about having to take my fake euro's off.
