as topic, I rather not trust salesperson in the shops for this one. I am a bit confused by the zoning on PS3 games. Does someone know anything about this one? (Assume the console is stock standard with no mods) I know there's NTSC & PAL for the games and they are NOT interchangble. Other than that is there anything else that keep me from playing imported game? -------------------- While we are on zoning, I know that BluRay we are zone B, so to watch BluRay movie I must stick with it. DVD we are zone 4 and must stick with it to watch DVD. ^^^ am I right?

10 years ago it was $300 when I bought the first personalised plate. Can't remember what's before that.

E36 facelift do use lifetime oil (at least mine is) Was quote $850 by another BMW Sepcialist to do the same procedure. Apparantly, those "lifetime" fluid (Esso LT71141 or equiv.) are real expensive. To the point that BMW's maintainance documents (TIS) actually say those fluid are meant to be saved and reuse if transmission service is needed. Go figure. $180 was more like the standard stuff. That's what a Honda Civic would cost for a tranx fluid change.

I got a 50-500mm in my shop!

Peel P50. That thing worth around UK$15000 as the genuine ones are so rare.

It would change your handling a bit as the front part of the car is now stiffer. You can also consider a X-brace for the bottom (standard on convertibles) or stiffer anti-roll bars as an alternative.

I seriously can't see why would a salesman write off a car unless they are driving the nuts off the cars or they are cr*p driver. Especially during work hours. Love to see them explain this to their boss.

Why wouldn't LTNZ introduce than phone ban, or at least make handsfree kit compulsory?

Thought I'll contribute as well.

Did some research on this a while back trying to find out what's on my car. Found a list and made into Excel sheet. I can't seem to upload it, so if you are interested, give me a PM with your e-mail addy. I'll send that through.

Seen this some time ago, aparently somebody screwed up the loading plan and causes the ship to tip during unloading. They were scrapped as BMW AG (German) & NA (North America) don't want any M3 parts to flood the market. Some of the less damaged cars (scratches, minor dents, broken mirror, broken indicators, etc..) will be fixed then sold as new. <-- This surprise me given (I would imagine) some ferocious US consumer laws.
-
The M3 got a bit out-classed here. GT-R is amazing, any info on price and release date in NZ?

Well, it was a purchase "outside" Trademe on Trademe, it gave the seller a chance to dodge without trace (as in the case up til now) and it's against TM rules anyway. If it's a proper purchase on TM, I'll chase it all the way. But this one is not, hence my "lesson learnt" comment.
-
Not worth the time and effort to chase back $30 I reckon. Lesson learnt and move on.
-
That's a good price. Once asked Team McMillan about this and quoted around $180 for the set. Wondering if it still fits if you have an centre arm rest? I would imagine it's the same for LHD and RHD.

Woolf Mufflers in Dominion Road (near City end) sells Remus, not sure on price though.

You can decode the build date from the VIN. www.realoem.com

This stuff on this post defies normal logic Large displacement engines cars are more fuel economical than small displacement cars in many cases here. Maybe to do with the more torquey, more lazy and lower rev nature of the high c.c. engines?
