Maybe go hit up Kerry at moseneuro. Say Malcolm sent ya

If the place that made them are keen to do a bulk buy discount, I'd be keen for a pair next year - would need to buy some new highbeams off you too though

Not a bad starting point. Doesnt seem like too much to do. Whats on the mods / to do list?

Just wondering if there is anybody in the Hamilton area that has a torx socket I could borrow as I am stripping my old auto gearbox and scrapping the alloy along with a s--tload of other alloy scrap. I dont have any torx sockets & need one to dissamble the box so I can sort it from steel & alloy (get more that way). So if anyone in Hamilton has one I could borrow (probably an hour or 2) that be awesome. PM me or reply on here. AND YES I am going to buy a set soon when I got some $, just no money to spare right now, so just thought I'd see if anyone can lend me one.

This week been, I got: 2x 17" tyres removed & 2 new ones fitted for $9.50ea (I supplied new tyres & took old tyres with me). Went back, asked why they werent balanced (I didnt think of it at the time) then he said thats an extra $13ea but 'What The Heck' we'll do it cos we got nothing to do (so were balanced for free). Then I got a wheel allignment done for a box of 24x beers cos I know the guy. He said come back for a free allignment again this week cos I needed a new tierod end, think thats what its called (got one & put it on) and then found out I need a new steering knuckle joint or whatever you wanna call it (am getting one tomorrow) so getting new allignment done maybe Wednesday. All the above was done at the same place within 3days. And that was at Beaurepairs. Yes, businesses need to make $, but they DONT need to rip people off! If you put 2 people on the tyre chaning machines to pump them out during the day if your busy, you gonna make $ even if only at $10 a tyre! $70 is WAAAAY over the top. I'd have walked off & told them to "get f---ed".

Last time I read or heard about the Law in regards to "optional lights" eg neons. No Blue or Red lights whatsoever in the front (as that can confuse people to think you are an emergancy vehicle). Undercar neons are fine, so long as you cannot see the light, only the glow (most neons are made to be like that if installed properly) - this goes for those tyre valve cap lights also. Only WHITE for Headlights, Reverse, Parklights & numperplate lights etc. Only red for brake lights. And bravo has said indicators can be red or amber, in another thread? Basically, any lights you want, so long as you can NOT see the glow you are legal. (I cant seem to find the rulings on the website but someone may have better luck finding them?)
-
Yeah, thats like alot of stuff sold in the shops, but most have the "not for road use" label on it And my tails still have a slight orange glow at night when they flash and I reckon it looks mint anyways. But Im all for red tails or proper smoked tails (as per TM)
-
Clear front & side indicators, all black exterior trims colourcoded white (leave the chrome), tints, more drop & leather interior. Nevermind the rusted bonnet, will ruin it I reckon.
-
Looking awesome! Same exhaust as mine (was yours off Trademe? I paid $80 for mine off TM). They sound good, but I've had one cop try do me for mine but its not loud at all, passed my Pinky WOF (fussy cop lol) but havent been touched since which is good. But the white E30 looks mint.... Is it Hard to keep CLEAN?!
-
Its illegal to spay tint your lights (dont ask why they sell it if its illegal, its just like half the other sh*t they sell). I reckon go for red, looks good & when the indicator flashes it still orange (have attached photo below of mine). Also, with spray tint, it takes a few tries to get good at it, sometimes will be too thick sometimes will be too thin & its a major mission to clean the spray off. IF you really want blacked tails then get aftermarket lights (on Trademe, 3 different types for $295 a pair) cant complain, cheaper than a fine or a pink sticker cos they are fully Legal!
-
Wow, that price is shocking! Typical small town business I guess? Not sure who in Hamilton could do it, but I'll ask some mates & see if they know.

NZ has had loads of "free" auction websites. Some still run today, but most have shutdown cos Trademe is just too big to compete with.

That subaru is factory like that, look at the name, gives it away. Like the Nissan that looks like a Micra but its made to look OLDskool... Japs

So it will or it wont fit my 318?
-
I did say "maybe" - considering its nearing Xmas, someone might keen to go in on a Sat/Sun day and do a cashy or whatnot. Always worth a try (i know of a lot of people in different forms of trade who do cashy jobs or box of this/that for a quick job etc - in THEIR own time etc). So never know. chris00 - I tried the phonebook (white & yellow), nothing.
-
Would an auto gearbox with this code: 81043401484 4hp-22 Bolt up to my 318i? If not, what model is it for? Just need to know. May have found myself a cheap spare, but need to confirm first.
-
Bump. Anybody know of any places in Hamilton that would acid dip a set of wheels - maybe for a cashy or a box of (insert brand here) etc? Phone book was no help at all... Really wanting to get my 14s stripped clean (paint stripper sux on these rims) so I can then paint them black with a polished lip. Have got my 17s on at the moment, so am hoping to get the 14s done ready for next year.
-
Still got the side indicators? Are they proper a/m tinted lens or just spray tint?
-
As most of you know, I blacked out my low & high beams. But driving at night, flick on the highs & it does still light up like it should - street signs brighten up way in the distance.
