Yep my exact thoughts/comments. Dont see how anyone could drink this daily... the cans yeah cos they taste good, but the shot, hell no.

Equal to two cups of coffee. I have on average 5, 6 or 8cups of coffee a day (work provides for free, so we just get one as we feel like it) plus 1 at home each morning and one at home each night. So if 1 shot thats equal to 2 coffees isnt good for you in excess (they say dont take more than 2 a day max), then I guess it aint gonna do sh*t to me? The Big V doesnt, I just like the taste...no energy drink effects me. Cos I drink so much coffee? I need to stop, but eh, just addicted like smoking.

FrantiC, what kind of paint did you use for the plastic shield & the metal rings? And did you primer them first or just straight paint?

Would definitely bolt up into my E30? Im assuming its a 2L? Not saying Im gonna buy it, just curious, cos if I happen upon a bit of cash and its not sold...I MIGHT be keen..

Costs $ to do this. Need to sell my Honda first, clear some debts & raise some funds. But Im keen to do it...make it worth showing off. Will need a lot of prep work first, as have found a big rust hole under the rear bumper & bound to be more (also small bits in the boot). Gonna be a nice project.

Oh aye. So if I painted the highbeams its just going to be a normal light, not high? Bummer. Oh well, if I do just for the hell of it, I can drive with all 4 lights on, and not have to dim them?! And yeah, decided I am going to paint the rings...was going to rechrome them but not worth the $. Be cheaper to just buy brand new rings, which I will... Have a set of Black and a set of factory Chromed rings... A set for whichever mood I am in hah! Am going to repaint the black plastic grills too, so it all looks fresh & shiney...but not the front Chrome, I like that. Having a nice black front may make me want to hurry up & repaint the car. May do a complete strip down & full body respray in Gloss Black with a Clear (of course). Including all sills etc.

Already done. Lights are completely in bits now. I left one in there a bit too long and the plastic casing "slightly" melted but I checked and it will all go back together all good. You wont see it from behind lol. Just need to buy the paint & some silicon (or what would you recommend to glue it back together?) and then reassemble. OH and I was thinking, with the Highbeam...if I painted the inside Black like the Lowbeam, would it make the H/B look like a L/B when on?

Oh true. Yeah. Might as well just go to my locals this week (hoping I get some time) and take my shopping list haha & add the Smilies to that list. Since the E34's fit, might just see if they got any of them also!?

Yeah, I dont know if I wanna bother cutting it...probably turn to sh*t. I'll just leave as it is & paint it all black, will post photos when I finish (Im not doing the crosshairs though). Just wondering, are the headlights for the E30s with the small curve shaped hole at the bottom on the inside common or rare? What E30s do they come in? I noticed on FrantiC's photos on his spring & shocks FS thread that his headlights have the curved hole in them. I think they are called "smilies"...? Where do I get these from? Or would it be best to just cut a hole in that plastic sheild part...as I have fully dismantled my headlights to do the "Hella Smoked headlight" mod. Looks good. I think I've seen these on Trademe? I'd prefer one of these than the imported plates cos watching Motorway Patrol a couple week ago, seeing the sacked out BMW get pulled up all because of the Euro Plates (cop said they are picking up on it & are now starting to inforce that law) I wouldnt be so keen on buying the imported ones... Thumbs up for the frames.

Ohhhh a pinky...that makes it worst, cos they'll be real a-holes about anything. I went to another place (not only VTNZ do them) but in hamilton a place called Hamilton WOF Centre who do nothing but WOFs do Green & Pink stickers. They were easy, didnt even know why I had a pinky. They didnt fail my non-working reverse lights only a crooked light & no horn button and no % sticker for the tints. All fixed in one day so went back & all done. Since you have paid already, not really worth going anywhere else as you'd have to pay again. Has the car been cert'd? If not, just put standard springs back in, then put the others back in after you pass then take it for a Cert... ? EDIT: why do you want it that low anyway? My car was 100mm and I still managed to smash my sump. Just imagine how dodgy its gonna be at 80mm? I assume that measurement is the sump or is the sump even lower?

Saweeet. Just as I thought. That black thing is attached to the frame with what looks to be plastic welded spots so I may have to break off. But all good. Saves me buying an entirely new frame. So now I need to go buy an adjuster. Thanks Glenn....sorry for the n00b Q haha but I know now for the future EDIT: bravo. yeah, I tried but didnt seem to do anything. i just wanna remove it so it matches both sides...looks stupid IMO.

I need the metal ring that goes around the passengerside lowbeam headlight. Prefer not dented or bent. Not worried it its dull or faded as I am getting them all reconditioned. I just dont want any dents! If you got one, Im happy to pay $15 inc freight? Or whats a good price for a 2nd hand one? PM me or comment on here. Will pay straight away if anyone can help. I need it asap so I can have mine rechromed (I am missing the one as stated). EDIT: OR if someone has ALL 4 rings in "mint" condition eg NOT faded & no dents/bends etc...I'd be keen to buy them all... as that saves me reconditioning mine. Depends how much though.

I have removed my headlight assembly as I am doing this mod ---http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=94540&highlight=smoked And I was wondering, since I dont have electric headlight adjusters, can I just replace the passenger sides headlight assembly frame with another one that is identical to the driver side frame? Obviously for the passenger side though. I just want both to be manualy adjustable. See my photo attached. Top frame is Passenger side the black thing circled, is the electric adjuster? As i was told awhile ago by a person her and bottom frame is drivers side the bit circled on that is a manual adjuster. Driverside has 2 adjusters per light and passenger has 1 manual & 1 eletric & highbeam has 2 manual adjusters. So my question basically is, can I just replace the passengers frame with one that is fully manually adjustable? OR I could just simply remove the black electric adjuster & replace it with a manual adjuster? A n00b question, I KNOW. But I just need to clear it up first. Thanks all Malcolm
