Everything was crazy. I just watched everything, even the stuff I dont want - just see the wars. I never thought a dash would go over $400 (most places only ask for that much), and that gearknob for $122? Wow. And Handbrake handle & boot - wow expensive. Some people went crazy with their bids. I just managed to get the Smiley Lights, but had to back out of a lot of stuff cos my Mrs wouldnt not be happy if I won what I wanted LOL. But was a crazy night watching all of that stuff.

I was busy doing yardwork and just popped onto TM and realised they finish tonight. Have placed a few bids on some items Im keen on. Cheers I also notice the dash has shot up - didnt know people would pay more than $400!? The kit is sold. And the seats are met reserve. Good luck with the sales, hope you make at least enough to make it worth your while. Also, why didnt you consider selling the car complete? Im sure i't would've been worth a few G as it was with reg n wof?

I saw the comments on TM. I was keen on the front & rear (complete kit) minus the sides cos mine is 4door. How much are you willing to pay for the sides? edit= this was aimed at andre3000

Howd he get the parts off? Wouldnt it be in the impound yard waiting to go to the crusher? I always reckoned they needed to make the law where they strip the car and rereg it, as crushing a tidy car with loads of parts is a waste...

I have a NZKW fixed back bucket seat for me, so now looking for a seat for the passenger. Preferably similar in style & black. Search NZKW seats on Trademe and you will see the style, to see if yours is similar. Also prefer it to be pretty good nick, no rips, not wornout, etc. PM me what you got. And of course, cheap. If you have the rail to match (non-sliding) that'd be a bonus. Got my driverseat with the rail (for E30) for $200 and its as new. So looking around this price. Oh and Hamilton/Waikato area (I dont mind travelling eg Cambridge, Huntly etc to meet or whatever). Cheers

I dont know why so many are think its a waste of time? Arent most E30'ers going on about how too many are being left to rot or getting scrapped etc? Well this man right here has saved at least 1. They may bet 318s which arent too popular but the manual one would be valuble to some degree. As long as the one you pick to restore hasnt started rusting badly then I see nothing wrong with tiding it up & making some $ off her.

Yep its tiny. Literally a couple mins to walk thru it. I usually go just to see if any "rare" parts on any of the cars are still there. But so far only scored bits for my Probe GT a few weeks ago (off a Mazda lol) and the door trims off the BMW. They should be sending some cars down from the other yards and/or hurry up & bring the cars in the front locked yard out - they can make room, it wouldnt be hard.

Yep. No bagde though. And I also saw some minor dings in it. These bonnets arent easy to panelbeat (which is why I am onto my 2nd bonnet) so since you're local I'd suggest you have a look.

They got the year wrong, or it was one of the first FL as some FL were made late '87 (I believe). I didnt see a PFL sorry.

I';ve been quite a few times to the Hams one and this is the first me & my mates have seen and they go even more often than I do (sometimes they go at least twice a week). I think since it is just starting out still there flow of cars isnt as high yet - once the word spreads more then we may get better stock here. Have seen some absolute sh-t in there though with literally nothing worth taking - and I try to see value in everything lol.

Just went in today and there was a 1.8L Auto F/L E30 Sedan there. Was in pretty good nick. I took the door trims and some small bits I wanted. The seats are the normal boring ones but were pretty good, no rips etc. Interior still complete except for door trims. And the dashboard is f--ked. Front valance was stoved in and passengerside spotlight smashed. Anybody after something? I am going back tomorrow so can check if what you need is there (give me your cell # so I can text you). PAP prices are WAY cheap, I got the door trims for $7each compared to $30ea at a wreckers. So let me know. As for mechanical parts and anything that usually needs "checking" cannot be checked so are sold asis by PAP - Im sure everyone knows how they work. I dont know how long the car will sit there for, by the looks I am the first person to touch it but once the word gets out, who knows. Also, if you're local to Hamilton then go have a look - I am just posting this for outa towners who cant just go look

How many MMs of tread on the tyres? Would you seperate them from the rims for half the price?

Just wondering how is your E30 too low? Mine is about the same if not a fraction lowerf and I use bottle caps and the height flies thru the wofs to Qs asked.

Looks tidy as. And I agree with the silver trims, looks better than the shadow chrome people do. Its how BMW intended it to be. Is that a PFL front lip?

Damn, $1500 for that? sh*t...wish you were a bit closer I'd be getting you to repaint my E30 (my mates failed big time when they were meant to paint it satin black, they made it mattblack and I left as -is ever since).

Saw this ages ago. Sounds like a train and smokes like one too. I am still yet to find any videos of it actually driving, launching, doing anything fun really. Even at the drag strip theres a vid of it just sitting there revving & blowing smoke all over the place. Complete waste of time & money if you ask me - why build it if you not going to race it?

Not needing another one. Have one already thanks to Kerry. Just looking for opinions of whether its worth reconding it or not - knowing there is more than one person in this world that knows this sh*t so would like a few opinions first.

Have got me a replacement steering rack to replace my current one due to it being a bit worn (failed a WOF). Now my question is, is it possible to have these reconditioned at all and what kind of $ figure we talking? Is it worth it or just scrap it? Only need to know as if it is possible and not excessive (if costs more than a brand new item then obviously wont bother) then I can have a spare. Any ideas??
