i brought my wife a e46 318 touting about 6 months ago, only issue we have had is the engine light came on and it took a couple of goes to get it right and in the end it was maf sensor, common fault same with oxygen sensor, make sure they get the tiptronic model 01 on as they have less faults, all in all the 318 is a gerat family car but if you want any pull go for a 328 and nothing less, but there are issues with these also like the engine ecu can get a fault wich shuts down a coil pack sometimes. still a great car non the less and much ore fun.

does anyone know what wire in the c1o1 needs to be powered or earthed in order to get the windows and heater operating again, windows work when i open the door but not when its shut and vehicle running. cheers kerry

i wouldnt say youl get more power but the ecu wont be seeing the cam timing so it wont be getting correct signals , seems strange that it goes so sweet though?

is it still running without the cam sensor working?

ok its time for part 2 to start but it will be a slow one as funds are demolished from part 1, in order to eliminate my knock i have been blessed with im going to franklin cams for some surgery and solid lifters, if the knock is still there after this it will be a full strip down but fingers x it will be $ well spent either way. update soon

i wouldn't powder coat them , the coating doesn't sink into the small spaces very well you would be better off to dip them and get a pro painter to spray them and then they will look tits
