I see your E30 and Clio quite often when i'm visiting a friend on Surrey Crescent. There seems to be a few classics that live down your road? I've seen a sweet old 911 a couple of times.

I remember when that car was for sale at Team BMW. A few of the salesman wanted to buy it themselves but were told they couldn't. It was in amazing condition. It didn't last long as I recall.

Mate spotted this today ( I think it's the same car? ) on a trailer.

Just went to double check, and no obvious connection issues. I then tried to start the car and it fired up perfectly...

My E30 has an intermittent start issue. It's happened 2 x in the last few weeks ( at the same geographical location oddly ) where it just won't turn over at all, like its dead flat. The first time it happened, I left it for an hour and it started up just fine. Tonight I just jump started it in gear as I didn't have time to wait around, and drove it for 20min home. Have just tried to start it ( after leaving it for 90mins ) and it won't turn over. All the interior electrics are working. Tried jumping it and that didn't seem to work either?

Near North Shore Hospital saw an older lady ( Late 60's/ early 70's? ) driving an E30 M325is coupe.

Gave the wheels a decent clean.

You must either work for the company that produced the campaign, or for State! Not sure about the good marketing. I'm not in the market for insurance, but purely because of the campaign, they would be the last company i'd approach. Same goes for everyone i've spoken to about the ad.

Guy near my work seems to have upgraded from a E39 540 to a '01 Carbon Black M5.

So sand/ scrub it, then rust convert to get any remaining rust, then sand again, then coat in a primer? What primer?

Yeah I think it's surface rust from when the carpet was soaking wet ( along with the accelerator pedal base ). I'll go get some CRC Rust Converter this weekend and treat it. Not too worried about how it looks ( finish ) as it's hidden by the carpet anyway.

Pulled my carpet up ( E30 ) the other week to dry because of a leak. There is a line of rust running down the drivers footwell along a ridge of the floor. As well as around the base of the accelerator. What the best way to treat this? Products etc. Thanks!

Saw an Interlagos V10 M5 touring with the sedan wheels in Grey Lynn. Driven by an "older" lady.

I remember driving in that car a fair bit when I was younger. Awesome car.
