  1. Probably passenger seat ocupancy sensor. Mine would only come on when someone was in the seat so replaced sensor pad and good as gold. Get it scanned properly to see if that is it or Buy one of those resistor fitted plugs off trademe to see if that fixs it to get you a wof if you don't have time to fit a new pad. Are about $250 from miland
  2. Nice! I decided against going the turbo route, can't maintain an m3 and do a turbo build haha!
  3. So me, Tyler-pldubs and sanch-antil33t took old boaty, the e36 325i that was ment to be a donor for the wagon, to winton with a car trailer to transport a e30 325i back home as out new project together. Then carried on into invercagill to pick up a m20 and manual box, motor went in the back seat of the e30. Had to remove door for it to fit, box in its boot. Oh and then a bmx that went in the front of the e30. T'was an interesting day to say the least with road side guard rolling with a proper roller, and then a switch from fronts to backs as I put the style 5s off the m3 with 225s and 245s as the 245s were starting to run out of side wall on the rear. Highlights of the trip, when we had to slow down going up a hill in a passing lane as the car trying to pass got up to the front of our car and couldn't go any faster to get past and holding up traffic even tho we were pulling close to 2ton! Vanos kicked in hahahaha Then when we got home replaced diaphragm springs and plates as part of the vanos repair on the m3, and beisan rattle repair on shafts aswell. Just waiting on the replacement seal to show up this week for exhaust side then ready to go back together!
  4. Yea just had the e46's done. Was told it was quite horrible fluid and that's at 160,000kms.Shifts a lot nicer now, highly recommend.
  5. Not really after parts, cash is good tho! Should be in pretty good condition, but is actually a g260 now that we have it
  6. The guy Tyler sold the set to is selling them on the BMW classifieds on facebook. Can't find them right now but will show up
  7. Actually it was Cameron's dad's car!

    Darin's 36

Old bmw, doesn't take much these days Steve. Someone on facey were parting out a mint e28 that had minor frontal damage, needed new bumper, valance and maybe grill and lights and that was a write off. Such a waste of a car. Gutted as
  10. Nope, that's the ssr colours. No idea how they can use it without BMW having a winge
  11. Nah just gave it a good clean with degreaser. Underside was oily as! Might run the buff over it before it goes back in tho haha!
  12. Seems like I've been dominating this thread lately... To many slackers round here/ non broken bmws. Right! So this weekend, put new HnR sport springs in the m3, new rear slotted rotors, waiting on correct fronts to come. new bushes for clutch and brake pedals so no more slop, FINALLY!!!!!!!! Finished sanding the other style 5s and have been picked up for professional polishing at $30 a wheel so can't complain with that! Also part way through vanos rebuild, vanos unit is all done bar the Teflon seal on the exhaust side that pinched and cut the side off while going in, ughhh! Waiting to hear from beisan about a replacement. Tomorrow night will be rattle repair as shafts are quite sloppy but can only go so far as forgot to order diaphragms and plates from the stealer so that's tomorrow mornings job. Beat that!!!!
  13. My daily does 20L/100km. Think I'd be better dailying the M3 haha!
  14. I run castrol 10w60 in my 3.2l as it needs the thinker viscosity for vanos to operate correctly
  15. Pretty sure they're differnt. Let me go check..... *Runs down to garage* They look the same to me. Welcome to come try them on. In red
  16. Good old ohms law, current is relitive to voltage and resistance. Amps/current isnt the problem as it's all relative to resistance/load and is just stating the chargers maximum current rating. So a 250mA is good for up to that, so if your device was drawing more than that, should specify what it requires, it will take longer to charge or overload charger as it's not designed to suppy that amount of current. So if it's taking ages to charge I'm guessing the device is drawing more current than the charger can suppy.
  17. Ohhh sh*t son!!! That sucks so much!! Anything get taken?
  18. Also use this, think you put me on to it. Very good investment!
  19. Ahh wheel polishing. Fun times!!
  20. So first wheel took almost 20hrs on just sanding to get it ready for machine then hand polishing and tonight managed to bang one out in 2.5hrs! Musta pissed around waaaaayyyy to much on the first. But was a learning curve so think I've got the gist of it now. Also mate of a mate does amazing polishing work in timaru and has just done one of the non sanded wheels and from the pictures looks pretty good and cheap too so might have to get him to do the machine polishing. Also looking into getting a clear powder coated on them but awaiting more info. Not long to go now
  21. Haha old gus! That's Tyler's old 325i. Big drive from Dunedin to welly for him
