  1. It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times?
  2. 1. Any e36 pedal box will work 2. The only wiring required is to wire the auto trans selector to think it’s in neutral or park so you can start it if you’re not reflashing the ecu, And for the reverse switch, but is super easy and many how-to’s around. I did have issues with rev hang and stalling when cold pulling up to an intersection, which was solved with a manual ecu. 3, No fab work required. From memory there are two different types of clutch masters with different fittings on them for the hard line, so be weary of that if replacing with new. There’s a 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder shift linkage, the 6 being 20mm-ish shorter, but can cut and weld the 4, or just get a DSSR. Also need the front half of the drive shaft as is a different length to the auto, and I think is different between a getrag 220 and the zf, the zf being the stronger box correct to a 328i, but 220 is more common being fitted to the 325i and down. Are also two different sized guibos (driveshaft couplers) so check for the right one of getting a new one. Oh, and some 4 cylinder drive shafts have a balancer on the front which fowls the shifter linkage and needs removed. think that’s about it. Definitely worth doing looking at the price of manual big 6 e36s currently, and even better if going from a horrid jatco auto!
  3. Ideally after the chrome to complete the look, but may have to give up the dream for the black out look
  4. Is that why people want moon beams for them? Think they have the last set in existence! funnily enough I smashed up a set of the “jdm” black headlights only a month ago.
  5. As per title, after some cheap chrome headlights and tail lights to suit a coupe, closer to free the better since all the Facebook offers have been more than what they are new!
  6. So it’s not a 120d like previously claimed! I did do a quick carjam to see what it actually was. Welcome to the club!
  7. I’ve got one off a manual 92 if that’s what you’re in need of.
  8. Was my old daily. Good to see it’s been looked after and improved. were just 8s on it
  9. I have the same setup, so any questions fire away. I can’t take the credit for putting it all together, that was another member. I just dropped it into my compact
  10. Estrol blue e36 m3 in Queenstown yesterday.
  11. What kind of dollars are you after for those? Could be an option…
  12. Am a few some 17” style 5 centres to complete a project I’m working on. Will buy complete wheels if barrels are damaged but good centres to save being split, or if you have a set of 5 and what to sell one off. cheers
  13. Well it is…. If you retain the ti small case diff and axles. I was also caught out whilst adding a medium case into a compact and had to flog some e30 rear axles off @Southerner. Atleast you would of had some already!
  14. Are genuine, from schmiedmann. Sounds like the front left in nla. Ecs had it listed as nla, but schmeidmann had a 4 day wait on them. So after some sneaky planning to get out of paying duty, and two lots of shipping, were all sent at the same time anyway, which I was worried about, but didn’t get caught with $420 in duty. But were still a cool $2100 landed, so yea, not cheap.
  15. Is up to 219 km I think. Shows how often I drive it!
  16. I’m the current owner of your old one, for the last 8-9 years now. Glen tipped me off to that, and your purchase of this. Good score!
  17. The Wu wagon!!! yea this was mine. Started life as a povo spec 318i when I bought it if the original owner. Sold it to a work mate and he cooked it in cromwell and sold it on from there. Is looking good still!
  18. Is a struggle to decide what to run, so good to have options. Buying tyres is killing me though! Be cheaper buying a tyre machine I think
  19. Made more room for activities
  20. Finally got around to replacing the ugly blue-lit Sony head unit for the factory one in the m3. Had to track down another factory stereo plug first since it was removed when the previous owner had them swapped. also added a Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the CD stacker input, so brings it into the modern age while still looking factory. Took a while to track one down as most are for the CD43 or newer. was from maakbaas.com if anyone’s interested
  21. Heading home to Dunedin from Ashvagas and spotted a daker yellow e36 M3 coupe and an e30 Parked up at the garage in Hinds. Anyone here?
  22. I’m still using it with a vpn. Mostly for roadkill, hot rod garage and dirt everyday. will check out the new top gear at some point. and good to have the hundred other car shows that are on discovery turbo, and Supercars, and just about every other racing series and all the documentaries and what not. Just need more time to watch it all
