Why is it bmw can't make a rear door that doesn't leak on a 3 series? My e30, e36 and now e46 have all leaked and soaked the carpet something wicked. And having that super absorbent foam underlay just makes things even better! FFS!!

The diff noise will be wrong oil. Mine started doing that too when I changed it to the redline shockproof range which isn't designed for lsds as it turns out. Got the correct castrol stuff from BMW, only place you can buy it at $30 a litre, and went away pretty quick. Mine was a bit ruff when I got it too but she's come up pretty good.

That's for the no fun loving conformists. I don't speed around town but off the main highways I am known to exceed it time to time. And then there's those great back roads around here...
