Members here and similar examples overseas have made 400hp at the wheels with only bolt on upgrades and standard turbos. Intake, full exhaust, upgraded intercooler and a decent remap of the ecu. (Maybe a few other supporting mods I might have forgotten). In the USA people have pushed the stock block in excess of 700hp. As far as I know, the mechanical high pressure fuel pump has been holding some people back but aftermarket replacements are now making their way into the market. I'm sure some other members who have done these bolt on modifications can comment with far more detail.

Yeah the offsets are a right pain for the e36. Look brilliant but needs some extensive guard work using the 8 series m pars. BMW made m pars for a few different models with different offsets .. Some being a little more friendly to the e36. Are the m pars you're selling off your 8 or sourced from somewhere else?

Jooles dibbs. Damn that offset though

If you're getting voltage to your fuel pump and can smell gas doesn't directly mean you have enough pressure. Fuel filter might have been dirty and over the time it sat the gunk could have solidified and created a restriction large enough to stop it running but still let some fuel through. Fuel plus spark should work. Check and listen if the injectors are clicking.. should be able to hear them firing. Have you double checked your leads are going to the correct cylinders? Spark is good but it needs to fire at the right time. Check the leads .. They can deteriorate over time. Have you checked the dizzy is spinning and contacting all points? Have you checked the timing? (Do the e30s use a belt?) Could have slipped a tooth? Or the belt could have been on last legs .. Check the airflow meter (might need to check inside .. Some afms use a flappy thing that sometimes get stuck... I'm used to the wire resistance ones). Check the piping from the afm to the throttle body.. intake leaks.

I believe the dakar yellow nz new e36 m3 evo sedan is now based in Wellington. I went to see it when it was for sale in Auckland. Very tidy.

E46 318i with an RB30DET and upgrades

Excuse me if you already mentioned in this thread but how much power was the rb30 putting down previously? -
500whp isn't too bad for a 1550kg car. I always felt that 350-400whp in a 1100kg-1200kg RWD car on the road would be the upper limit with a lot of work in the suspension.

the UUC kit is very precise, the shifts are very quick and clean. The z3 short shift kit has slightly more play and has a less 'sporty' feel. its personal preference really. my gearbox was out getting the clutch done and Ray chucked a z3 shifter in to see if it would help the 4th gear synchromesh crunch .. ended up preferring the z3 shifter over the UUC one .. so yeah, personal preference. Spoke to a e36 m3 owner at the last UCC meet who brought a caged track m3, he uses the UUC evo3 shifter and linkage. He would have bought mine if not for the fact that he just ordered another one for his second car.

I'm thinking this will end in a massive crash.

interested in a barely used UUC evo 3 short shifter and DSSR linkage? Gave a super short throw and a notchy feeling like a gated shifter, but I preferred the feel of a z3 short shift kit, so now it is surplus to requirements. Reduced shifter movement to 10mm either way while in gear, driving a worn e46 manual, it was like stirring a big pot of soup, nice to get back to a firm shift. check the uuc site.

Hey mate did you get the 6 speed M3 gearbox or 5 spd

RIP V10.

I can bring in aFe intakes with heat shields etc from the states via sea or air. Sea is cheaper but takes longer. Or any other intakes of your choice from any USA based retailer
