  1. Haha yeah its been like that forever. For some reason all the other trim strip were in perfect condition. Just this silly middle one was chipped to hell!
  2. Personally I wouldn't spend that much money on something I couldn't or wouldn't daily drive. I have a drift/skid hack but haven't really taken it out since I got the M3. Kinda glad in some ways that I bought a high mileage car (280+) because any more kms on it doesn't really matter. Sort of like buying anything new and expensive .. I bought an expensive canon dslr and babyed it for a while then realized what's the point in buying expensive nice fancy stuff if you don't get to use it. Then I just treated it like a normal cheaper camera and some of my best shots have been taken that way. And surprisingly enough the expensive stuff is usually built to a higher standard and can handle being properly used!
  3. Replaced the trim behind the front plate. What a difference Just have to decide what to do with the stone chips on the bumper and the lip. Maybe a new lip or matte it .. Oh thanks to Brent for the part! Fast delivery. Also replaced the leaking washer bottle sensor. No more annoying fault codes on the OBC!
  4. Is there a way to control a cold start cycle? i.e. either to turn it on (to be obnoxious) or turn it off (to not wake up neighbours until I'm out of the driveway?) e36 m3 s50b32 Cheers!

  8. I spent close to 180ish nz to bring mine in but it was a single piece so was quite large. Sea is mostly based on size. Since e46 exhausts are usually wide because of the twin exits and all the mufflers etc are width wise mounted. My e36 exhaust had all the mufflers etc along the length.
  9. I just brought in via sea freight from the USA a Corsa RSC 36 for my m3. Takes a while on the boat but makes some overseas heavy bulky items available cost wise. I know you said nz only but that's just another option to explore
  10. yeah most wreckers charge that much .. I think $30 for a second hand one plus GST. I'm getting a new one from Brent instead.
  11. yeah I like the prefacelift grilles, they look more aggressive! but to swap them in, you have to change the whole front section from indicator to indicator

  14. What sort of price did they ask for a remap on a dyno?
  15. Gavin is still working here. He is trying to find a new location I think so his dyno is in storage. He will tune etc but will have to use another dyno .. I think he uses one out west
  16. Haha its just the centre one which is messed up Kyu! New one coming from Brent soon Anyway here is how it looks with some surface prep .. Just need to redo the other side.
  17. Did this. Doing it again now .. Cheap paint doesn't stick well to faux chrome plastic so going to sand it back to a better surface
  18. haha if they're simple sheet steel with a few folds, once you have the templates, just laser cut (and fold a few) and you could sell a cheaper option locally!
  19. Hi Olaf, Does that $160-$180USD include GST, customs clearance and all those potential fees etc? Or is that just the cost of the base delivery fee paid? I know many people get around customs/GST just because *most* of the time, items get pushed through without a second look due to the sheer volume of imported items, however if caught in the GST/customs cycle, the cost can jump up .. especially when the threshold for requiring to pay customs is at $400NZD which needs to include shipping, so if paying $160-$180 USD for shipping alone, the price of the items would probably push you over the $400NZD limit even if you get cheap rotors/items! Or does DHL/FedEx handle the customs and duty etc? Thanks! Ken
  20. air freight cost is based mainly on weight although volume does factor in. the heavier the object, the more you pay (due to fuel costs for air cargo being very dependent on weight). volume comes into play when you start dealing with large bulky parts (even light parts such as non-flexible plastic trims or super light carbon fibre race seats). sea freight is based on volume, and has a lot less emphasis on weight, so compact heavy items such as brake rotors, flywheels can save a lot of freight charges. then you have your large volume parts which even though are light, are large. these can be cheaper to sea freight. then you have items such as exhausts and other one piece items which will not physically fit onto an aircraft cargo pallet ... these have to come in via sea. the only downside with sea is the logistics involved and the wait time due to slow boats. i can help with logistics. can't speed up boats!
