  1. Good looking wheel. Good tyre test as well.
  2. Not saying they will have the same value as a GTR or Skyline but the depreciation curve could well be similar. The N54 cars have some real tuning potential and the Flat Peak crowd will if they are not already be on to this. Coupe, Sedan or Wagon just more to choose from. The young cars guy I talk to have little to no interest in the M cars and that is, from what I can gather, because they dont have turbos.
  3. 330i is a long long way away from a 335i when it comes to performance and that is the difference. When the flat peak crowd see that you can get one for 12k and realise how easy it is to up the boost and get 400HP they will be into them. I see the 335i taking a similar path to Supras and GTR's, lower performance BMW's like 330is will suffer the depreciation you have mentioned because in reality they are not very fast.
  4. Thats exactly what they did to me, two shipments seperated by a few days they combined them and then I had to pay GST. W*nkers.
  5. Nah, I paid 15k, for my 335i and I still see sub 100k cars for over that. 335i is close to the bottom of the depreciation cycle.
  6. N54's are not that unreliable, the problems are well known, charge pipe, HPFP, ratling wastegates etc. Just be ready to walk away from a car that needs too much work.
  7. Sound is good, performance is better. Too easy.
  8. Good question I might sell the 335i and get an E36 Coupe so I still have a BMW.
  9. I also have new rotors and hopefully soon an LSD.
  10. ISOFIX is of no consequence in the decision making process.
  11. Yes to all of those things especially the HL covers.
  12. Porsche purists will probably hate me but I am thinking about getting a 996. Preference is for a manual 2002+ car. Wary of the IMS bearing issue so a PPi would be mandatory and I would also likely budget 3-4k for it to be replaced. I have driven a Tiptronic and it was surprising responsive but I think manual is the way to go. I have been watching this one but its a bit far away. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1717665359&tm=email&et=202&mt=A0E8D214-C433-4C48-9F58-6BD4673E9C54&rewritten=true
  13. The only way to get your oil temp lower is a bigger or extra oil cooler. I have tried the BMS valve all it does is open earlier its not fix for multiple laps on track days.
  14. Welcome Mike, very pretty indeed. Can you give us detail on the tyres and what it will cost vs NZ prices?
  15. I have NZ nav maps , on cd/dvd? If thats what you mean. I have been running mhd stage 1 plus for over a year now no issues.
  16. I spent a while trying to get the order right, they would ship one rotor free but not the other. In the end I went with drilled and slotted rotors and Stoptech sport pads and all this shipped free $NZD309.
  17. Thanks Sam about to duplicate that order.
  18. Same I will look out for manual E53 at Redwoods?
  19. Fix no, it was never broken, just take BMWs conservative settings out and allow it to do what ZF designed it to be capable of.
  20. Yes have to agree, looked at an E39 540 about a decade ago and came to the conclusion that the Aussie cars had better steering and were quicker, so went that way. E60 fixed that of course. Drove a well loved/maintained E39 530i M/Sport recently, very nice car.
  21. Just about the best bang for buck performance car you can buy. Stock is just the beginning, an MHD tune will really blow your hair back.
