  3. Hahahah ftw purple is my favourite colour. I love that colour. Are the US spec ones only 240hp?
  4. I quit smoking at the beginning of last year after smoking since I was 14. Lol it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I haven't touched a cigarette since and have no desire to. Going cold turkey is the best way to do it. All of this cutting down and then completely phasing it out did not work for me but everyone is different. I don't mind smokers but to each their own. I chose to quit for gym reasons. Cardio vascular fitness was lacking and I definitely felt the difference after quitting. I support anyone who tries to quit. Big thumbs up
  5. Nice ride dude. Welcome to Bimmersport man.

    E46 328ci

Hi all. I posted a thread on my wheels in the wheels and tyres category a couple weeks ago but here we have my 328ci coupe. I bought her at 120 ks a year and a bit ago with a blown head gasket from one of my clients. Turns out the viscous fan had stopped working. Fully rebuilt the engine and she's been running like a dream ever since. Now I am getting so bored with the automatic/tiptronic transmission so my intention is to do a manual conversion at some point this year. Any tips or pointers would be really helpful as I haven't done a manual conversion on an e46 before. Heres some of her specs : * Done 144 xxx kms. * Blacked out kidney grills and chrome accents ( Done by Grant Peterson at Custom Coatings North Shore,Mad love for his work and him,my good friend) * Smoked front, side and rear tail lamps with three stripes left clear for theatrical effect ( Custom Coatings North Shore) * 19 inch style 95 wheels in a custom colour wrapped in Falken 452 215/35/19 on the front 9 inch rims and 235/35/19 inch on the rear 10 inch rims ( Major thanks to Grant Peterson (Custom Coatings) for the painting and CPR ( Matt Brook) for the Blast work * KNN performance panel filter * Pioneer USB/SD/Aux headunit * Twin Pioneer DVC subwoofers 400 rms each with d class amplifier * M sport bumper (front) * lowered in the front slightly ( ) rear sitting just on tyre. * Carbon Fibre front and rear BMW badges * Personalized Euro plate EUROHO Plans and wishlist : * Performance chip *M sport rear bumper and skirts *Manual Conversion * Cold air intake * Upgrade Air flow meter to 330ci * Install Angel Eyes ( Already have em, major thanks to Jasjot for clips to secure them) * remove cat converter and change rear muffler to amplify sound of that beautiful six *Re- secure front bumper due to it being pulled by my lovely lady at the mall carpark Anyways here are some pics folks. I also do welding and exhaust work and would be happy to hook you guys up with some very competitive prices if you need work done. A mechanic by trade and have my own shop in Wairau Valley. here is Delilah now ( pre rims and suspension change) Any suggestions more than welcome. Also thoughts on wrapping the roof centre section in gloss black?

    Need gearbox E53

If you were in Auckland I could of rebuilt it for less than the cost of a second hand one. Is it an internal or electronic problem?
  10. I love the cabbys. My cousin in South Africa had a M325i cabby with all the 325is evo 2 running gear and options. 2.7 litre engine was a real performer. I loved that car

Bahahaha dont blame me brah. Aint my fault
  15. I dont think they are including the torque converter. It should be around 12 litres all up.
  16. What car is the oil going in? trans holds 8 litres and torque converter around 4. When I did my flush it took around 12 litres. I flushed the torque converter also and put a new filter in. Worth doing. I used full synthetic oil also in my trans. I have a 328ci with a GM trans
  17. That above pump you just showed me will do the trick. Just make sure the ends are nice and secure..doesn't have to be fancy. It just has to do its job

    Carjacking

In my teenage years I used to own a Honda Integra Type R. The same thing happened to me but I kind of spent like 20k on the car including motor work. Never got it back from insurance though in form of payment. They paid me what the car was worth at the time. 13 k. It sucks that this happens. At that point it was right outside the Naval Base in Devonport and apparently the guards didn't see a thing. First car in view and they didnt notice. That taught me that things like that do happen in this country. Second lesson learnt was my Version 9 WRX. was a bit more lucky with that one. They found it with a busted ignition and door lock. Since then I have been more on guard and aware of where I park and leave my vehicle

    Carjacking

Hell yes. They are dodgy as hell. They use it as an opportunity to scope the vehicle for valuables and relay the message to their associates. They then mark the vehicle and operate in a ring. Then it gets jacked, then the house of the owner also gets done over. Ive had relatives in Port Shepstone be murdered by guys coming through their roof with machine guns the day after their car was hijacked. Its ridiculous aye
