Car detailing- anyone had experience with ceramic car coating?

Cheers Dave, gonna buy you a pint next time. -
Quite a few people are asking about Detailing and Paint protection. Anyone keen to go in as a group to get their car detailed and ceramic coating done? We could get a good deal if we start a group.

Just spoke with OCD. $750 for detailing as my car is starting to get light swirls. Another $750 for Ceramic coating. They are very good, but my car is a E92 335i, not an Aston. I am gonna shop around. -
Kyu would be a good bloke to have a chat with as he owned one.

As the title states, I am looking to get my hands on an E92 M3 (Coupe). Must be manual and a Competition pack. Regards.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

@gjm You could maybe score a E46 Purple tag rack for $200. -
G'day, As the title states, I am after a Z4M Coupe. Preferably in Red/Blue/Black. Cheers.

Seems like a lot of Christchurch dealers seem to getting on this 'Ask for exobeherent price for a Classic BMW' train. Must be something in the water lately.

I just can't warm up to that shape. I know some people love it and good on them.
-
The pricing just confuses me. I really wanna drive one to see what the fuss is about. Is it like driving an E30 with a S50/S54 in it?
-
Have you looked at a F20 135i? It's a hatchback but an awesome hatchback indeed. Kyu had one and I had a 116i. I thought the 116i was a fantastic car, very good on mileage and had enough go at low RPM to pull away at the On-ramp drag races.

There's this one. High ks but it would still be amazing to drive. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2226320851.htm?rsqid=5349eeff19634429b62da7e2a36931d8-003 I am biased towards the S50B32 Engine because of the noise.

We had the same dilemma and we went with the 328i. A friend of ours who works for Auckland City BMW recommended the 328i too. More power available in the 328i, consumption was dependent on the driver. We get 500kms for $100 of 98 with Normal mode. Could get more in Eco with the Start/stop function ON. The 328i came with some nice options that we liked, White with full tan leather, sunroof very low kms.

I am interested in this too.

Well, still not as bad as Porsche 911 pricing. But all it takes is one to sell for some absurd amount and the dreamers put their prices up. Then the ones that retail for 10k will seem like a Bargain. The only thing that's missing is a few Petrolicious docos on how great and raw the 318i auto is to drive. I bet Dutton Garage will then have one on sale for $40k with 50k on the clock. -
Haha, fully agree with you Dave. There's a couple of M3 Evos on pistonheads for £10k, they look to be in good condition. Although, the term 'good condition' has various definitions these days. The Trademe E36 vert is gorgeous but 20k is more reasonable. 25k on the got lucky side.

Still for sale. Wow, 2 years!

Tim, if you wanting a BMW for the driving experience a non M sport E90 is not where I would recommend to start. I am guessing your budget is 12k? Z4 3.0si roadster or even the coupe would be my recommendation. Unless, you are really wanting a 4 door.
