  1. Beautiful stuff! Nice work guys.
  2. Keen to keep them with the listing - They all go eventually! Happy to point you to where I got them from though if you're keen.

At the risk of being a Pollyanna, this sounds pretty reasonable. Especially if you exclude the wiper blades and filters - you can surely sort those yourself much cheaper?
  4. Would there be any more interest if it were, y'know, less money? I'd prefer to avoid trademe, but if no one has room for this on their berm then I'll get ready for the masses.
  5. https://www.trademe.co.nz/2017320233 Not sure why I'm so crazy about these things. Just barely resisting.
  6. Just about to post this! Was a pretty reasonable buy now, given the live plates.
  7. Backseat and Boot pics for @hunter
  8. Not to hand. Started taking pics of the interior then couldn't get the baby seat out, lost my cool and ran out of time - I'll do better when the weather clears. Anything in particular you want a picture of? No interior rattles or squeaks to speak of - the seat belt receivers used to squeak when they were buckled and pulling against the leather bolster of the seat cushion, but I put some adhesive felt on the receivers and it's blissfully silent now. Air con is blissfully and reliably cold. One stripe of the rear window demister is dead, the rest is good.
  9. Huh. Never even considered the possibility they weren't original! There goes the Pebble Beach concours d'elegance !
  10. This one Handsome Sapphire Black wagon, Factory Msport on staggered style 66's. Falken Azenis FK453s all round, in good shape. Black leather sport interior. Bought it last November, done a bit over 15,000kms since. It's up to 251,000, but the engine certainly shouldn't be an issue... Sunroof, wing mirrors and all manner of bushes and coolant components replaced by a fastidious previous owner. It was listed for 9k when it caught my eye, I'll put it up for 7.5k. Personalized Plates not included. Work done during my ownership All done by Jon at Auto38 New OEM Sachs struts - I bought new air springs too but they weren't installed because the ones in there (replacements themselves) looked fine. Uninstalled air springs will come with the car. Vanos rebuild New tailgate gas struts Engine replacement - sprightly young m54b30 from this unfortunate 330ci - I have done less than 1000kms since it was swapped in, so call it 25,000kms on the engine. It's running very nicely indeed. What's next? The car is in great mechanical order. It doesn't 'need' anything (as of time of writing!). I like the "what would your next wee project be?" question looking at cars though, and for this one it would be: The Giubo is apparently looking a bit dry - just dry, no worse Brake lines at the rear are starting to show their age. Nothing unsafe, just visibly 16 years old Gearbox - hasn't been serviced in my time, nothing in the folder that indicates a recent service. Irritants The sports seats are tidy and work well - except the 'raise' function, which has fallen victim to cable twist. The other functions all work fine. It's a 16 year old car. It presents well, and is in good condition, but there are minor stone marks on the bonnet and brow of the roof, the original windscreen looks as you'd expect, the headlights could do with another polish up. Three of the wheels have some degree of curbing/brake dust tattoo. Driver's airbag replaced as part of the Takata recall. Thanks for looking CJ
  11. Premium Sound @Olaf! Higher spec by the day!
  12. Haha, yup, new shocks, vanos refreshed, tailgate struts, and a low km engine. Good reminder to add everything to the clearfile Kyu?
  13. Jon took the old block. Wanted the crank (I think). Picked the car up on Monday, engine swapped over with as little fuss as could reasonably be expected, rooted gearbox mounts being the only unforseen issue. Full of Motul xcess 5w40 and running very sweetly indeed, as you would hope from such a low mileage engine . I'll post a classified soon once I get organised, but I'll be moving the car on soon so if anyone wants to add this to their berm let me know.
  14. Great question. I assume it got stuck (can't confirm, haven't investigated myself and haven't got a detailed post mortem on Jon - have been talking pretty much solely about next steps). The warning I got was coolant temp, (rather than low coolant), and it overheated SO quickly which I guess indicates lack of circulation rather than volume of coolant? Pity - this thermostat was only about a year old.
  15. Pushed it over a quarter of million kms recently, which was a good result for an engine I thought might be on life support a year ago. It's toast now though, thermostat failed going through mount Vic tunnel and I could see my bank balance going down as the temp gauge went up and the warning messages started dinging. Pulled over as soon as I could, but game over (-heated with catastrophic results - confirmed by Jon at Auto38 yesterday). I have a very low kms m54b30 from Brent waiting in the wings, just need to commit to the expense of the swap. First instinct was to consider selling everything as a 'project' package, but having a night's perspective on things I think the only way forward is through it. TBC.
  16. You can have your one back soon if you want. I've done the vanos for you.

Looking good! What could possibly replace the ACS though? ?
  18. Hey @BozzaFC Nary a problem. Would have done 5 or 6 thousand k since. Planning to switch back to ll01 in the Big Summer Service but I'm not anticipating any troubles. You're welcome to try it out - maybe early in the new year we can tee something up?
  19. I got my rears from fcp, fronts from a polish vendor on ebay through (UK) youshop. Both got tagged by customs. I tried to youshop a second (rear) pair over, but they got turned around at the (US) warehouse - despite providing the information sheet they asked for, they just refused to carry them. No problems with nzpost and multiple sets of shock absorbers in the past, it felt like a policy had finally started to be implemented.
