Battery life is actually better than a 4 and remembering the S2 is thinner with a bigger screen and with a faster processor and ram, of course it it gonna heat up a bit more...of course there will be fanboys from either side but from someone who has had a 3gs and a 4 i can 100% say that imo the S2 is a step up and it will take more than an upgraded 4(s) to beat it.

Only thing i can think of, is to request to relist, then ask again?

There are some true ****wits around!

At New years, i almost got 900kms out of a tank on the open road, so almost 14kms per litre, which was much better then the approx 400kms that i get from both the Subaru and CLK (which is my thought on the economy) sure it's much worse around town - approx 600kms but still pretty good imo.

Much work to do the swap?

Good work in nabbing them Heino! You sure you were not cruising one night and some mates gave them the fingers or something and they got your plate number...have heard of similar sh!t happening before!?

I already have 2 thirsty cars and am really happy with the economy and reliability of the 318's I had a look at this over the weekend, the young guy was definitely trying to flog it off as an Alpina but there were no indications at all that it was and no plate on the firewall In reasonably good condition but he wanted at least 7k for it, so not worth it imo.

Nope, going to have a look tomorrow or monday. it's a friends of a work mate, i had a look on carjam plate no APA674 but looks pretty standard, does anyone know how to tell a genuine one?

Hey guys, not really a trademe discussion but i have been offered this BMW, 1994, 120,000kms, full tan leather interior, 19x9z on front and 19x9.5z on back with new stretched tyres front and back, Alpina front lip, new JVC head unit + 6" speakers+4" speakers + sub in boot. Professionally darkened tail lights, automatic, clear front and side indicators, adjustables in rear, compressed springs in front. Has the Alpina plate on the firewall and is pretty good nick! The guy has asked for me too make an offer and i'm thinking around 5k mark, does this seem around the right ballpark? Cheers

This is an awesome alternative to the usual Drunk driving ads and is targeted at an audience while using some humour...anyways, Bro, Monique thinks your dumb!

I have a 50" Samsung LED and to be honest 3D is not the greatest, unless you watch movies specifically made for 3D ie Avatar, GT5 is awesome but i soon got bored of it - also the glasses are annoying playing a game and i had too sit closer to the TV then i normally would...IMO not worth the $$ if the TV is not your own or gonna get some decent usage.

Have you checked top suspension mounts? reknowned for going in e36's.

Talking to some friends last weekend about this and one of my friends has had his SLR5000 fitted with a late model Commodore one and this was also certed, so i'm not 100% sure on the whole legal and illegal thing! Perhaps aftermarket are illegal and OEM parts are not...bit confusing though!

Been discussed previously about both, if i remember correctly it was advertised at turners first!

I'm occasionally downloading torrents but are streaming more using http://www.quicksilverscreen.im/ Have kept away from downloading games as i think they may be monitored better. Like Dubman my extra data cap was also doubled twice so i get 100GB from my original 60GB plan and it costs me just under $100 for phone, broadband and 1 national landline

Better than GT5? I almost downloaded it last week but felt guilty!

Hey guys. I noticed that my e36 sits lower at the back then my old one and after i replaced the rims with my other e36, i have noticed it touching the plastic wheel well lining, when going over high speed bumps with a load in the boot. I was thinking it is possibly the springs or shocks that may have softened and was wondering if getting new shocks/springs or higher rated ones should fix the issue, any ideas? Cheers

I think that unless it was bought outright in Australia and not on a plan it will be probably locked to the network. my brother bought a 3GS off ebay and sent it too me, Vodafone told me that Australia like NZ lock the systems to their own network to try and stop people getting free iphones on a plan, then skipping the country like (apparantly) many NZers have done in the past. I sent the 3GS to a guy on Trademe who jailbroke it for about $50, pain in the backside is updating then having to re-jailbreak it though.

I bought one of those X Force adjustable ones a few years ago for my Subaru, as any aftermarket exhaust or tips will go over the db's for a WOF and i wasn't keen to have an ugly silencer installed. When I had my car certed I mentioned about getting one of these in the near future, they told me it should not require certed as when closed it should not sound near the db limit. Has been through 3 or 4 WOF's since and i've never been hit up about it (fully closed mind you) Here's a youtube video: Only thing i would find better is if it was adjustable, not open and close if you know what i mean!?

It looks to be a pretty good car, i've had 2 STI's and an RA. Don't be afraid of the reputation that Subbies have for breaking down, as long as they have had a very good service history and you continue too take care of it, you shouldn't have any problems but if work is needed it can cost big $$ and something as simple as a cambelt and waterpump replacement, can take several hours to do (and a pain in the ass) and don't even get started with a HG replacement

Personally i find OEM brakes leave too much dust, i bought some aftermarket ones for my old 318 which were amazingly durable and left much less brake dust, can't remember off the top of my head but will post it when i find out.

Agree with you guys both!! The speed and smoothness still amazes me

Strange coincidence!? He did do a hell of a lot for the IT sector, RIP

Any oil brand with rating of 5w30 should be fine, like one of the other guys said, BMW recommend Castrol.

I have had the original the 3GS and the 4 (work phone) and all i have had is problems with all of them ranging from screens stop working, button stops working and full hardware failure...i think the reason most go too iphone is because it is an IPHONE and they do have cool apps and easy synching through itunes etc I have just bought the Galaxy S2 and it kicks iphone4's ass all over the place, smoother everything, Android 2.3 is awesome (esp from the 1.6 on my HTC) I don't think i would ever buy an iphone again for myself!
