Awesome job Jack, have to commend your entrepreneurial sklls once again...good to see a young fella getting out there and doing something for themselves B) Yeah i agree. Hahaha Love it.

Creepy lecturers are very common down here lol...I would try a written complaint to the chancellor/proctor and get signatures from others who are unhappy with his teaching, if that fails, send an anoynymous letter to the student/local paper (not the same complaint letter though)
-
Sorry, don't know what the second ones are...but damn they look tight!!
-
Are you at University? I had a lecturer/Tutor here in Otago and because of a drunken indiscretion with said tutors girlfriend, that he found out about...i did not have a happy second year! After receiving another failed mark and a C- for projects i was sure were better, i went to the chancellor and explained the situation, my marks were then looked over by another tutor who did not agree with my tutors and passed them on to another lecturer who agreed...long story short he was reprimanded and i never failed another project...can you ask if there is a way to have a second opinion? Edit: Always make complaints in writing...almost guaranteed to get a response.

I watched it last night and i also thought episode 2 was sweet...that M3 still dominated...245kmh with a buggered suspension

I don't think anyone mentioned that taxes pay for Healthcare/Prescription drugs and schooling (to an extent) and are free or very subsidised, so there is no need for health insurance...which i presume you pay in the states.

How about the normal insurance co's like Ami, Tower and AA insurance? I have my vehicles with AA and they have agreed to a price that we are both happy with, the hardest car i had was my 92 Subaru Legacy which is a reasonably rare BF5 Wagon tuned by STI Prodrive! AA spent a few days to track down an agreed value which when they agreed was at least a few k more then i was probably hoping for...so happy on my side.

Dude its an open forum!!! Are you not breaking one of the rules yourself by calling people out...also the rules you just went on about are often broken in this forum by senior members and occasionally some mods My whole rant was re: why in the past several days so many threads were closed...which i got an answer, and should of been the end of it...I understand i broke the rules questioning the moderators, but it was never aimed at anyone in particular, just curious why!? Just thought i'd point out these specific points of interest which appears to have been neglected by many: 2. Attacking new members – For Bimmersport and New Zealand’s BMW community to thrive, all new-comers are welcome and older members ganging up on them will not be tolerated. 2. Personal Attacks – Play the ball not the man, Bimmersport has some great heated debates but you must keep to the topic, not resort to personal insults. I think nuff said...

Your theory/opinion sounds like the old adage, of the boy picked on at school who goes off to join the Police...like i said in previous posts that perhaps there is a better way of stopping the crappy threads or posts, then just closing them when infact some threads have decent info/conversations going on.

This is an awesome post guns 1) I will leave the WOF(Warrant of Fitness) for the boys who know the ins and out, but basically its a standard your car needs to be in before it is legally safe to drive on the roads. 4) Guns are mainly used in NZ by Farmers and Hunters!! Gun license issuing is generally pretty tough ie if you have had certain criminal convictions you will not get a license, No Semi/Fully Automatic weapons and Hand guns need additional permits as well as license. 5) Tax on The usual...we also have goods and service tax (GST) which was a 12.5%(i think) tax added to most products and groceries but is going up in the next few months. Emission trading scheme...more stupid tax don't get me started(google it)

Could be ltd editions eh PMed

Martin luthor king once said a speech about, questioning authority when it needs to be questioned!! and my bold highlighted part points out a point why i started this thread!! Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome forum and you guys do a great job...i just say it how i see it!! Rant for the day over!!
-
I can fully understand and appreciate the effort and work the mods have to do...just since joining Bimmersprt several months ago, i have noticed some inconsistencies(sp) with closed threads and from what Glenn has said is mainly due to bickering!! Trouble is some of those threads are informative to guys new or reasonably new to BMW's like myself.
-
Fair call!! I may have missed those...but still
-
Is there not a way of blocking the members posting on the thread instead of killing it? You have too much time on your hands, if you go sniffing over small print buddy!! If i'm banned for this opinion, then obviously this forum is not for me. What i have noticed is that many of the noobs who come on, are young fellas wanting help from experienced guys (this certainly is the right forum for that)...But come on. how many 16-17 year olds you know are going to go over forum rules and stick by them verbatim!?
-
Like i said, I have seen too many good forums turn to mud because of mods not respecting others opinions, i also work in an industry where bullying...as well as various other issues effect the little guy and i will go into bat for anyone that is getting hard done by (whether in real life or the internet)... AND is your problem me, bringing the topic of people getting picked on or me not agreeing with mods decisions!?
-
There is better ways then to throw stones!?...like i suggested, why don't mods pm and ask those new members to go over the forum rules and explain the consequences that will happen if they are not stuck too! instead of what this thread's being discussed about!
-
I saw one last week that someone had started about selling e30 parts/junk and someone said about why's he selling this crap...then several others jumped on the slagging off band wagon and his thread was closed instead of the stupid posts removed...and today, a thread about the M8 was closed!!! sh*t i had never even heard of it- like i'm sure many others on the forums who *QUOTE* "have not been here more than 10 mins"...of course i'm not going to always agree with the mods and brown nose when it's hardly consistant the threads they close.
-
So...because they don't like this one person or have some kind of beef with his posts...they are not valid!? If the mods think his threads or posts are crap, PM him and ask him too tone it down, instead they throw their weight around...Sounds like bullying to me!!
-
*Waiting for my opinion, to not be agreed with and this thread closed*
-
Is with all the threads getting closed around here!? Seems to me a disgruntled moderator had a bad night last night, so is taking it out around here!! Ok fair enough...talking illegal mods etc need the hammer but a few should not have been killed, just the ar$ehole posts removed... I have seen far too many forums turn to crap because mods don't agree with the TA's opinions. Get off your high horses mods, and let people discuss things...even if they have been discussed more than 10 minutes ago!!
