Try contacting one of our sponsors, Brent at BMWorld or Ray at HELLBM would be a good start.

cliffdunedin replied to cliffdunedin's topic in Electrical system
Thanks for the help team, was a HB3. I thought the bulb part could actually be removed from the plastic as i've never seen a bulb like this before -

Cheers, any idea if repco or supercheap stock them or do i need to swing by the dealers? -
Bit of a noob Q and i've had a search but i can't seem to figure out, if i need to replace the whole bulb housing or if an aftermarket H7 will plug straight into the connector, Please help, feeling very special

Totally agree! I get 600kms around town and 7-800kms open road running in my e36 it has had most preventative maintenance done, has a few more kms (150km) and i've spent a few $K doing this but in reality i'd be happy to get 3-$3.5k when i sell it. I'd definitely not sell to trade down for a Toyota/jappa etc so i can have a few extra $ in my pocket which i'd probably end up spending twice over getting the Toyota to a level i'm happy with or general maintenance.

I would think the style 32's would look good powder coated but the RS's might be too intricate and look a bit flat depending on colours and shine of the lip.

Welcome my man, as above a little drop and maybe replaced/cleaned lens' will have it looking really tidy

Update: was the FSU, thanks to Brent for sussing me one so fast!

Short answer, no it's not worth it! I had the same thought with a WRX i had a few years ago, after insurance, transport costs, 10% Australian GST valuation tax, customs tax 5% and i may be wrong but i think certain brands qualify for a luxury brand tax as well your friend could be looking at $5-7k for a car worth about the same! I bit the bullet and left the car in storage and bought a late model (01) SS Commodore for $5k (they're cheap as chips) and then flicked on when i left a year late only losing $500

Not that i'm judgmental but hopefully if it is a members, they replace those JDM style lights for something more suitable

Cheers for that Lucan, I think you're right about the black, I really like the look of the bottom silver one with the centers painted.
-
Google was not my friend in this case, has anyone done them or seen them in black? I'm not really liking the silver on silver

75, 76 and 28 off the top of my head, from in the glove box. I did read about the two 'hidden' ones but i could not locate them.

Cheers, i thought it was most likely the FSU after checking the fuses. I must have bumped something while checking so will have a check over the weekend, does anyone know if a scan would show the FSU playing up or anything else with the console?
-
Hey guys, Well the heater fan which was blowing very softly when i bought it at the weekend (and assumed cabin filters) stopped yesterday so after a bit of reading found it could be the fuse, FSU or blower motor. Today i removed and checked the fuses before i went down the FSU path, i found that the fuses were fine so replaced them, when i went to start the car i noticed that the fan console was not working at all (no power etc) The car was off when i checked but did i do something wrong when checking the fuses? any ideas? Cheers heaps

Thanks mate, i found that first one but everyone seems to have different ideas what it means, some say brake sensors some say ABS or ASC which is why i'm a little confused lol

Hi Guys, a couple of e39 noob Q's, I have noticed that my dash display had come up with the wee car and what appears to be a right brake light out (sorry attachments not working) but all my lights seem to be working so wondering what this is, also i have the ( ! ) amber warning light, what i'm assuming is an ABS warning but the car sailed through a WOF today, can anyone give me a little insight to these please before i get it scanned on Monday. TIA
