  1. Ideally lowest km with a service history, LCI is more than just cosmetic and there are hardware improvements on the S85 that came with the later built cars. As long as you have a warranty and are not going in blindly thinking that your case will be different and the car will be mint with the bare minimum of maintenance then you will be fine. There are plenty of us with E60/E61 with good ownership experiences unlike what the majority of keyboard warriors will have you believe, the common link is that we all feed the beast what it needs. They are a supercar, don't for one second think you are buying a high powered Camry. @Jun was looking at selling a while ago, and that is a well sorted car that ticks all the boxes.

    Quick rant thread.

7 year old just had a brain fart and walked a soft art pencil along a recently painted wall. Then tried to rub it off with her finger...... Open to ideas on how to remove graphite from a low sheen wall paint without damaging the finish.
  3. Congrats, I don't envy anyone selling a car these days. The same platforms that are meant to make it easier to sell seem to have the opposite effect.
  4. I went through 3 mid range Karchers and a Nilfisk before buying a cheap Bosch. The Bosch has lasted for three years with no issue. I still can't believe it outlasted machines 3 times the price. Only thing I don't care for is the car wash gun foam kit. That aside for the price I can't fault it. I still use a big petrol blaster for heavy work, everything else it's the Bosch.
  5. That looks great, it's a pity that we pay a premium for some things though. There is a CAT branded heavy duty 12v power supply that does all the amps on a dolly for under $100 in the US, but they are way more over here. They are the perfect tool for keeping the battery going when coding or fault finding, and seem to be the go to overseas.
  6. It's just an OEM style filter, I don't see any issue with it. Pretty sure I've used far worse.
  7. Is it worth the premium? Guess that's up to the market, and right now there are non comp spec versions that are turning over regularly for far less. There are plenty of people who are over extended financially trying to liquidate toys at inflated prices at present, not saying that this is the case here but it doesn't take much of a look around TM to find plenty of examples.
  8. Reading the owners question reply I think they will be keeping the car.
  9. Cheers for the correction, I had forgotten all about the wonders of leaded fuel.
  10. If you put up the vin into one of the online vin docoders it will give you the build spec. Or put it up here and we can help out. Cat delete removes the factory catalytic converter / smog kit. Why? Expensive and not required everywhere by law. I bet when this was new a cat was quite a pricey piece of kit. I would be surprised if this had the delete.
  11. Good luck, I hope it all works out. There is a Monaco blue one that was a barn find that I missed out on that sold for under 2k, it needed the fuel system refurbed and a clean. It has been for sale for the past 6 months on and off with no takers since being cleaned up. The e34 market is a bit all over the place at the moment. That said, you have a low km car which will help - BUT it came from HK and that can stand against it as many buyers see that as a long term electronic nightmare due to high humidity exposure. I'm sure what ever happens you will get more than what you would have traded it for, and if it's still around in a couple of months I'll be in touch.
  12. One of the annoying professional hats I wear is information security and while I would love to believe in humanity, I'm with @poggle112233. I hope a phone call later it will all be great and you will have cash in hand.
  13. If it looks like a duck.... Shoot it. Put a comment on your listing about how contact should be correctly made. It's hard enough to sell a car without some a$$hat trying to pull a fast one.

Just survived dinner with the inlaws, don't even know where to start that rant 😁

Agree, and that's one reason I went the DeWalt route - Makita spares are hugely overpriced, it used to be a premium brand but these days unless you are buying the absolute top of the trade range they are one step removed from Ryobi. Anyway - grab a bunch of Aliexpress for way less: 4 pack for $20 if you can wait the 2 - 4 weeks it will take to get here. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001320420609.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.709c6ea6kuiRuc&algo_pvid=d833f52e-46cd-4dd9-9c9d-27200352845c&algo_exp_id=d833f52e-46cd-4dd9-9c9d-27200352845c-8&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"10000015706070627"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!NZD!16.63!13.47!12.31!!!!%402101e9d016609713568598420ee694!10000015706070627!sea&curPageLogUid=1emEvdFUWPbA
  16. Go to a reputable BMW independent and get them to resolve it. No one likes fixing another shops problems, but most will take pity if it's a straight forward fix and sort you a good price. That has been my experience anyway. I'm sure that other members here can point you to some non main dealer service centers in your neck of the woods.
  17. Overseas people use VINWIKI quite a lot to document the history of cars, it has yet to take off in NZ though. Obviously there are issues with any online WIKI as it is a public run db- my issue with this sale is that there is a strong possibility that someone could buy this without any idea of the history of the car, a car that on paper regardless of how well it was repaired or converted is not as advertised. Omitting details is not appropriate on a 100k sale. I have family that bought a super low km classic from a reputable car museum, who completely ignored the fact that the car had been well shunted. Due to the age of the car and repair it was not on any documentation, but later when questioned about it a huge back story suddenly came to light. People who know me wonder why I'm a control freak and have trust issues....... Genuine people are getting harder to come by everyday.
  18. Pretty sure it would be sold already if it was in Auckland 😁
  19. What are you actually wanting for it, there are plenty of us that have impulse issues and are great at man maths.
  20. That's a nice example, fits what I've been looking for. Wife has unfortunately stopped me buying another toy for the next few months. Pity to see it traded for peanuts.
  21. No it's only worth 100k to the scammer trying to sell it for 100k.

I blame the Kardashians, famous for being famous? WTF. Now we have a generation that is confused about where to inject fat, where to remove it and how many followers they can get doing it..... 😁

On an almost dead straight 50 km/h road near my house, two power poles taken out in 7 days. Lines down etc.
