OMG I gave up at round 3,what a complete waste of a season, no wonder the fans have stayed away and races cost the host cities millions. Such a shame and if Red Bull do pull out who could blame them. quick discussions round my work colleagues and they have all stopped watching too Does anyone actually still follow this

Spent the last 2 days on a 1000km road trip from Gisborne around the cape and back to the Hawkes Bay. Nice beaches up the Gisborne side but was unimpressed with anything past East Cape and the road wasn't much on the Opotiki side either. Its like travelling back in time not a decent coffee for the entire day. Not recommended as a great day out to be honest Best venison I've ever had at irish Pub in Opotiki of all places -cooked to perfection Best road was from Opotiki back to Gisborne thru Gorge, scenery was amazing, little traffic and the kind of Road that just leaves you smiling and want to turn around and do again the other way. Highlight of trip. Biggest surprise was following a subaru tribeca SUV for some time on Gisborne Wairoa Road, Handled hills and corners with impressive ease. Just hadn't expected a big SUV to behave so well on the road, impressive biggest letdown some really young cap on backward toss in a late model Golf gti passed me on a blind corner and then sat over the white line for next 400 mtrs

found an old thread from 5 yrs ago but having to change pads and looking for something that doesn't cake the wheels in black dust within the first 50kms of washing the wheels. Is it just a new zealand sourced thing because even wifes new holden cruze does it on factory pads and the bmw is well just ridiculous. Talked to nissan dealer and they admit all their new cars do it too. Compared to a late model import skyline we have which will match braking on any car Ive ever driven and when you go to wash the wheels are still spotless after weeks. The little dust there has a reddish rust colour to itI. i don't race cars but there has to be something available that doesn't cost moonbeams and shed extremely toxic black soot that sticks like S*&t on a blanket on every trip to the dairy. Looking around parking lots you notice some cars do and some don't.

Sorry but thats completely wrong landlines are 50v DC constant and a ringtone is 75AC. they are not passive analogue phones all run on 48v dc digital phones like an early push button phone had no power cord but still need voltage to drive the transistors exchanges have huge generators to power the lines when power went out if that runs out your phones all go dead just get a voltmeter out if you don't believe me

Isn't the smelter about to be shutdown down south,I was under the impression that used a huge portion of our hydro, so doesn't that mean we will have excess hydro power and they won't have a ready buyer. If the pollution figures get enough coverage, public perception will just follow just like with global warming bull. legislation and incentives can kill anything as has happened previously, the original electric car, watch (who killed the electric car) new Zealand's love affair with LPG

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/industry/11883719/Volkswagen-scandal-could-kill-off-diesel-cars.html Its certainly a possibility and there's going to be a lot more companies caught with cheating before this is finished been some great articles about how the tax incentives basically steered corporate fleets into diesel and it rollercoastered I'd got to the point of thinking the newer cars were actually better and would have considered a diesel myself and now reading some of the claims of how poisonous the air is now in Britain because of the diesel cars is actually quite scary There have been similar scandals in the US truck industry before where the trucks got dirty as the mileage went up, something to do with hours running and adjusting the lean fuel mixture so by the end of a long trip they were positively toxic.

the real bargains are Facebook, Hustlelive, onlinegaragesale etc people dont want to pay the fees of trademe If you talk to a good helpful cardealer they possibly will look out for one from their midweek dealer only auctions, and they also do a lot of internal buying and swopping because cars are stale on the lot. also they seem to have good access to stocks in wharehouses I was completely unaware of as joe public. Might be the case of finding the right guy and actually asking them for help. Someone on here must know someone in the trade in your area

I did think my experiences were better to what they were here in the Hawkes Bay, perhaps its a more, Dealers are bored because of so much less foot traffic thing in regional compared to big city, maybe its also the price bracket your looking in, and whether they look at you as a tyre kicker, although with finance deals they probably find easy meat I would have to say real Estate agents are so much worse its just beyond compare, dirty two faced lying lazy and arrogant forked tongue f*5kers

I went shopping thru auckland late last year and I mean probably hit 80% ,took 3 days and to be honest I found most were pretty good, some would ask if they could help then when I said no left me to it. Did a few test drives etc and they are way way better than say the 80s/90s. In fact some times the yards are so big and full of stock that it could be hard to actually find someone if you had a question. You do get the odd one but I was pleasantly surprised in general

funny people get so worked up especially when they think they're right, what a load of bollocks, you expect every single car to be in one lane except when overtaking, why build 3 lanes then, two is all you ever need under that premise. all that lane changing would cause many more accidents the left hand lane has all the off ramps and merging on ramps and as long as your watching your mirrors and keeping safe following your fine. Obviously Hogging the inside fast lane is not recommended but you'd soon be flashed by someone in a fast car that isn't worried about tickets and told about yourself I would imagine. If everyone uses there mirrors and is courteous there is no problem

i was going to say a drop of solder but failing that 5 min araldite or locktite on the end of say a (welding rod) should hold, there can't be that much resistance in a screw that small

the pictures don't do these cars justice, the dimensions/ proportions in the flesh are gobsmacking from basically every angle

calm down there's no chip, I'm not complaining and certainly never implied people were breaking the law, I'm just saying these things happen, which is why I don't think the original topic would work what is wrong with some of you, pretty touchy over some generalised comment, there was no personal attack on anyone and I certainly don't lose any sleep over any of it so leave off on the chip aye

Would you date someone because of what car they drive?

it definitely seems to help guys pickup, A mate with a nice corvette has on more than one occasion come back to his car to find women knickers slotted thru the window and notes -
Not bashing anyone ,Id be doing exactly the same if I was in the same bracket but it is definitely fact. Back in the Muldoon era when tax was 60% My fathers single owner operator business(optometrist), paid more in tax that year than Sir Bob Jones did as did many in same situation. Another quick example ,my son doesn't get a student allowance for EIT because we earn just over $60k between us yet all 3 sons of one of our biggest local building Developers went through University on nearly complete funding because of holes in the system. Mouthing off, dude every one knows stories like these. where do you live?
-
well middle income do yes, rich hide theirs in business losses and just manoeuvring of money between accounts to show as a loss ,people like Bob Jones don't pay tax or pay no more than a simple business owner does, the whole system is completely biased to the rich money makes money, once you get over a certain level

my e39 use to ditch water like that occasionally, but I found it was the radiator hose clip o'rings. Seemed to be something to do with the way different materials heated and cooled because on the odd morning it would leak but on arrival at work it would be fine and then not reoccur for weeks to months,

Had expired few months earlier, probably honest mistake doesn't make him a crim, as to whether its right or wrong to take keys that's another whole thread, I'd be grateful if it saved one of my sons from having a head-on with a tourist but its a slippery slope becoming vigilantes, it must be pretty scary and frustrating to follow someone like that and be thinking what should I do, is he going to kill someone and will it be my fault too, you have to make a decision then and its easy to comment from out here but right then at the time?

Demerit points are only scarey to law abiding folks, you cant take something away from someone who doesn't even have it to begin and certainly doesn't give a toss.you know the ones 5 up in a integra with bald tyres and only 3 wheelnuts on each wheel richer folks do have the better camera detectors and jammers isn't a radar situated on a sunday night to catch skiers returning home targeting an income bracket anyway. wonder how many speedcameras operate in manakau as opposed to North Shore no system is ever going to be fair in this PC country but as per the title of thread ,No bad idea
-
trouble is its not you that does something careless or dumb and kills, its the corner you go round and suddenly find a tractor doing 5km, I hate tickets more than the next guy but good car and good driver only give you so much advantage, on a track or closed road, yep but surrounded by idiots in unroadworthy cars, your luck is going to runout

Were wandering off topic I guess but this new toy, I'd have to describe as awesome fun and the looks are growing on me
