that covers leafs in general, I'm meaning more the pitfalls of EVs in general, what is there life expectancy, total cost of ownership, how do you spot a lemon, whats a good buy and what has 12 months left till it dies,at what point will it be worthless, For petrols these things are generally known and assessed

had the same issue with e36, started with doors then ignition exactly same as yours, a decent locksmith looked at it and managed to copy and recreate with a bit of guesswork a new key from the totally mangled one we had and it fixed everything perfectly. the locks have been fine since also be vary careful with the ignition, if you try to force the key eventually barrel will spin and then your up for a pin repair in the column which the locksmith can do. get the key done ASAP it will be the key they seem to be made of very soft material

hey nothing judgemental at all sad for the kids, well us all probably, as it makes them more narsistic and the communication without face to face lowers their general empathy levels YES GENERALISATION HERE and your right, two notifications/likes this morning, I'm a winner today but I wasn't checking it every 5 mins and worrying about it all night like a lot of kids do BTW did you read the other article i linked, its similar but perhaps more detailed https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/09/has-the-smartphone-destroyed-a-generation/534198/ there is a good rebuttal to it here to maybe provide some balance https://daily.jstor.org/yes-smartphones-are-destroying-a-generation-but-not-of-kids/ I found them quite interesting and have had discussions with others about it for some time before reading them. A recent trip to Hong kong and Singapore watching people on subways and public monuments was quite an eye opener just watching someone take over 100 shots of their family members on a 10 min gondola ride and about 5 of the scenery made me ill

think he was more referring to FB likes but your missing the point. your too old to be affected as like me you have a natural cynicism and were brought up differently If you can't see it happening around you,at any restaurant, childrens playground or just shopping your blind, the way it is affecting young minds in their formative years will be completely irreversible, its quite sad swimming lessons the other night with grandson, they all swim a length, and look up, I give the thumbs up he was so desperately looking for the rest of the bench was playing angry birds or whatever, F&$king adults are arseholes, they will pay when that kid becomes a teenager and doesn't give a rats ass about them or has depression issues

this is an eye opener as well, certainly will make you think https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/09/has-the-smartphone-destroyed-a-generation/534198/

there was plenty of great aus bands in that era but most would be too well known to appear on this list Midnight Oil, Icehouse/Flowers, ACDC, Cold Chisel, Inxs, The Angels, Hoodoo Gurus, Noiseworks but maybe these guys

was reading the other day that the bigger (totally ignored in media issue) is the growing friction between India and china, both nuclear over their shared border and the whole nepal region A lot of this is misrepresented. I think most believe in climate change, its hardly deniable but disagree that its all because of humans and we all must pay carbon taxes etc. That is taking a natural occurrence and using it to profit. the world has had 4 ice ages already, any large solar flares or heating could alter the earth faster than any humans. I read that if you stretch both arms out to represent the time the earth has existed, the length of one hand represents the dinosaur period and if you trimmed your fingernails you would wipe out human existence therefore on a 5-6 ft scale humans rate about 3mm. logic would suggest we aren't that important Not saying we shouldn't recycle and clean our oceans etc use clean fuels but technology will help watch elon musks talk on youtube about inhabiting mars, what an amazing brain

like a storm a new zealand band with basically no local profile first album "the end of the beginning " was 2009 is really good and plenty of youtube hits including nice cover of gangstas paradise Like a Storm is a hard rock band from Auckland, New Zealand, best known for combining heavy baritone guitar riffs and hard rock songs with didgeridoo. 90s+ well thats in agreement with what he said then you can hardly judge a car brand on something from 25 years ago and I agree its not just bmw, it seems to be a german thing Part of it is possibly a maintenance parts price and availability thing, I mean its intended and also nothing for them to say open a rocker cover and replace all studs, washers, gaskets while doing it whereas we just can't get those bits off the shelf and don't usually bother anyway. then complain because it leaks onto the exhaust and smokes. You could argue that jap cars just handle that type of treatment

https://dougdemuro.kinja.com/german-reliability-the-greatest-myth-ever-sold-to-amer-1572026115 I think he has a point, It was a bit of an eye opener owning an e39 with 70k for the first time, constant bills that actually make no sense and are embarrassing to explain to the bill payer who's beat up old primera sails through warrants year after year. any audi vw dsg box that hasn't expired in under45k left, it really is insanity

it amazes me how easily little cars can match the bigger when the track is only 59s long, on the longer track with higher speed on straights the difference is bigger and how much white knuckle ringing it took. Watching cars on top gear track its hard to predict what a fast lap is to another, some look fast and some look effortless and then the times can tell another story. Some of the car makers must be right royally annoyed at the times due to temperatures and weather. for the aus times a better test would be what state the cars would be in after say 4 laps, have brakes gone, engines overheating, I'm sure theres a bigger difference and I'd expect the GTR to be built to do it all day. A buyer wants to know that surely

6months means nothing, how many ks did you do in that time 5k or 20k

fan cooling blowing 40+ air over it would be hopeless cooling it isnt the problem the aircon ducts go right past it and only takes 2min or so but doesn't affect the problem, its still doesnt just go when you hop in the car, it is so hot to touch you can basically burn your fingers on the screen somedays, tablets just reboots over and over till it cools. they were never built with that intended purpose if I was doing it again I would buy an android model in single or double din. just better made for the purpose, much easier to run handsfree, bluetooth phones etc, they have a tuner etc, the android interface isn't built to handle a lot of complicated inputs, the otg connection has limitations the built in bluetooth can't do audio streaming, theres a multitude of issues, some fixable with lots of accessories but some not. the hardware devices are a mix of android and standard car stereo but I could never justify dynavin type prices

check out timurs kernel on reddit, hundreds of users discussing this. can even be made to work with the original steering controls, plenty of bmw installs Things I have learnt from my install now 2 years on but in a skyline , buy timers kernel ,it converts your tablet to a permanent power state with all the power states needed automatically reverse camera support proper audio out support etc they have thought of everything and he has great support, pretty much essential and not expensive much better than fiddling with tasker buy a cheap 12 -5v power buck from eBay to feed tablet and all accessories like usb DAC, reverse camera, usb drives etc don't muck around with weak power like usb convertor approx $10 research which usb dac you buy , latest android software doesn't support 48kbit any more so you need 96kbit tablets don't like heat and shut down when overheated so sunny afternoon after work , tablet is dead until you can cool it down by running a/c, very annoying in Hawkes Bay, removing battery from tablet permanently helps so its 12v only, towel over makes no difference, car is just too hot Mine is permanently wired into original cars stereo amp and speakers so car stereo volume controls still all work, 7port usb hub feeds hidden external hard drive with movies and mp3s has cheap eBay reverse camera, $25 has extra usb and bluetooth inputs, $20 has cheap bluetooth OBD2 connected $25 has external feed to feed signal from original onboard screen, now removed to tablet so heater controls etc still work

matts sections with the heavy machinery are bloody clever and a breath of fresh air, great new idea

agreed, really enjoyed this season amazing turn around, eddie is terrible, sabine is odd and paul harris needs better lines and timing but you can see it getting better, had some great cars too which has helped
