Certainly looking good! :thumb: nice stance! Manual? what diff ratio? 2.5 lots more grunt. Anodise the chrome, paint comes off pretty quickly, shadowlining looks good on this colour. IMO need skirts side and rear and maybe diff rear spoiler. AND lose the mudflaps (if that's what I can see.. hate mudflaps...:finger: ) BTW, welcome to Bimmersport!

Andrew, need your opinion as to the condition of it. Seems to have sagged in the top middle.. red arrow. Rest of it seems ok apart from the gunge green colour. You coming past this afternoon?

As far as I can remember, the driveshaft CV's on the e28 diff are bigger than the e30 CV's, bigger diameter. Also, it is a much bigger housing so would have to be adapted to the e30 cradle. It is also possible that the driveshaft mounting flange is bigger. Best do some homework before buying one, suggest getting hold of Ray, (Royz on Trademe), he has wrecked all sorts and can possibly give you an answer and possibly even supply one.. His number is 0211625615.

Looking for the cover that covers up the blower motor and wiper motor in the engine bay. This is something that I never have a use for when wrecking a car and have recently thrown away 3 of them !! The one I have has rust, something I have never seen on one yet.. Am coming up to Akl on Sat to collect some old e30 seats so would like to get one same time.. pic of offending bit.....

To answer the question about removing the inhibitor wiring, have just opened up my F/l and sorted it out... Check photo, the plug here has 3 wires going into it from the relay, black, black with yellow tracer and brown. Cut all 3 wires on the female plug (that is the on from the relay) and join the black and black/yellow wires with a suitable joiner, pref crimp joiner, or solder the 2 together. Brown wire does not need to be connected. Have arrowed the 2 wires to be cut and joined. Now remove the relay and wiring to the shifter. In answer to the bit about the idling being affected by the system, one of the the green/black wires from the shifter switch goes to the motronic box and signals to it that the car is in gear and speeds up the idle to stop stalling. It goes to pin 42 on the motronic unit joining to a red/blue wire there. Disconnecting this wire when removing the wiring from the shifter will disable this function. Sorry, forgot to point out where it is... check photo, is on the main loom going to the drivers side in the cubby hole area under that black plastic cover above the cubby. (The male side of the plug has 2 black/yellow wires and a brown wire). clear as mud???

Sorry mate, I don't have access to an e36 to work out what to do. Im coming up to Akl on Saturday to collect some seats so can pop in and looksee if you want..
-
Can open an e30, never tried the e36, but have PM'd him with the e30 method, hope it helps him... Let me know if it works...

does nothing for me. Never liked the Hartge front spoiler or the wheels. The lack of side skirts and rear skirt and the exhaust look wierd. Looks in good condition though so a nice MTech kit and some 15" cross spokes would do it for me... take it it has recaros?
-
You don't necessarily need a camber kit... it can be done reasonably easily and cheaply, have done quite a few this way. Posted a bit of info on it a while back.
-
Correct your negative camber, this will stop the wheel rubbing on the inside.
