Bump! Auction finishing tomorrow!
-
good idea with that heat shielding. I have some after market stuff and it is total crap. will replace with stuff like you have used. I wonder how easy it would be to attach to the bonnet.
-
I got a tig machine if you need a hand welding some new material in. the floor might not even turn out that bad after you hit it with a wire wheel and remove the loose stuff.
-
mmm pretty ugly
-
should post some pics.

anyone? e: Now on trademe $1 reserve! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-560194421.htm

keep seeing a PFL e30 round hamilton..... m3 front guards and front bumper / spoiler. but regular rear guards , looks funny as.
-
i wouldnt call "slapping on some sheet metal" a quick fix... slapping some bog in it would be a quick fix.
-
doubt that will happen, there are people out there that wont replace things unless they utterly have to. ie, they need to so they can pass a wof, or the belts fly off the tyres and leave them stranded somewhere.

Not on chromies or low enough to be a full time drug dealer.
-
pics of glass thickness plz.

Does this indicate that the mileage has maybe been tampered with?
-
Yep, I've heard all that as well.. That's why I questioned brake and clutch when I had mine done. They said no break in period was necessary, and said nothing about heat cycles. This was on my turbo engine and they said it would be fine to stick straight on the dyno if I wanted, I didn't run it in or anything and romped on it from day 1 (obviously no clutch dumpys...) and have never had any issues. Organic lining and upgraded pressure plate fwiw. However if your clutch setup came with instructions specifying a break in period, I would follow it for warranty purposes.
-
I don't believe there are any tricks, other than just drive it like normal tbh. Any high spots on the lining are going to be knocked down by the time you back the car out of the garage. Excessive slipping is going to be hard on a clutch whether it is run in or not...
-
If by violent you mean doing clutch dumpys and such things then i totally agree with you, but i wouldnt do that on a "run in" clutch either.
-
floor it you pussy.

Has the front bumper been painted or is it original?
-
All pulled from car now, ready to go. $250. Someone take this away, located in hamilton.
-
Was told by waikato clutch and brake that bedding in is not required, I asked them specifically as I have heard conflicting information all over the place.
-
I want to buy a E39 or E46 just to play with this carkracker. cool device.
-

Yeah, I've got something in mind, you will see next week lol

Bit of a slack day today, got out of bed late and got a little bit done, sun came out and it was too hot so spent most the day crashing and repairing my rc helicopter. Then went back out and finished pulling the engine out. Which one of you boyracers wants to buy an M40? And finally out... after realising there was an engine dampner on both sides and not just the drivers side.

Wanted! E30 diffs and half shafts.. Drive axles.

You can have it as long as you come and pick it up (incl whole subframe), otherwise its going to scrap. ratio is... 4.10, small case. oh im in hamilton btw. -
Ok, so I machined them down 7mm. Still leaves a bit of bush left so the whole lot can compress up before bottoming out on the insert and keeps the whole lot tight. All together, bottom bracket lines up perfectly. Put some new discs on, brake and handbrake pads. Adjustable platforms and new shocks. Finally finished with the rear end of the car, hopefully never have to f with that sh*t again.
