    The bastard child.

Hey just wondering, did you swap the entire steering column? If so, was there much work needed to make it fit?
  2. Yeah they weld fine... wait till it craps out or starts doing funny things. lol /offtopic
  3. picture of sping part numbers...
  4. those new boc mig welders are pieces of sh*t. fyi.
  5. To get the most out of the cam you will need to remap it. You will still get gains from the cams on their own without remap. would make sense to get cams first and then remap after, save you getting a remap first and getting cams then remapping again to get most from the cams.
  6. would paddock bash the f out of it.
  7. Well I didn't take my car to VTNZ, no doubt they will pick up on it and say something about it - wankers. Chop the heads off some bolts and glue / metal putty them there if you think it might be an issue.
  8. I dont think the gearbox is a huge worry unless you are being brutal on it.
  9. The holes should not be a WOF issue. I've never failed a WOF on it, and neither has anyone I know.

    Quick Questions

If its heater box or tap in car you will generally smell coolant pretty quickly, even if its a small drip.
  11. Sounds like you may have a box off an M20 or different engine, the main engine bolts line up and really thats all you need. You dont need the smaller ones. But double check that the gearbox is not sitting on a different angle - gearbox cross member wont fit and shifter will be slightly off.
  12. Tbh I don't find a saving of $40 to be enough to shop overseas. Unless I'm saving hundreds buying overseas I will buy locally.
  13. i got some vdo vision gauges for my car, bought them in nz from somewhere but have forgotten the name. but def can get in nz.
  14. power rating or torque rating? as with clutches saying its good for xxx amount of hp is stupid. its torque that breaks clutches and gearboxes. edit: crunchy beat me to it.
  15. Yes, 6 cyl springs. Full set of dampners.
  16. Changing to a different suspension setup so have the following for sale, would prefer to sell the lot as one. Brand new front brake rotors, done less than 2000km on them - no grooves or wear at all pretty much. 51mm struts Set of bilstein sport shock absorbers - have aproxx 15,000km on them (or less) I would guess H&R springs front and rear. Now im not sure what this stuff is worth, but $900 would take the lot I guess. Located in hamilton.
  17. 5 series ones are longer supposedly. I need to get some aswell
  18. I lol'd at "branch manager" trees etc.
  19. 5+ generations of phone, still a piece of sh*t. Why people continue to buy them is beyond me
  20. I think you will get sick of that setup really quick.
  21. You can pick up 6 channel nissan igniters cheaply also, but its just another box you have to find room for somewhere.
  22. The DTA will do drive by wire with an extra box, has built in ignition drivers, built in traction control etc. Dont know of any tuners that are familar with it though. motorsport electronics in auckland might know of some.
  23. Depends what features you want, but I found DTA to be the same price as link but with more features. Find a tuner first and find what they are comfortable with, there is great support for link in NZ which makes it popular for a lot of people who dont want to figure it out themselves.
