  1. if you cant locate the leak, remove thermostate from the housing.that way it wont get hot and it keeps the water pressure down.cheap, short term fix
  2. gates a 38mm. the guru in the states reckon's that good enough flow up to 400hp. he informed me that going too large will release too much gass, causing more boost spikes and uneven boost curve.
  3. ecu install was done at 'speed source' up in warkworth. EMS system
  4. yeah that 55 corner came up rather kwik.your pants not smelly are they??
  5. Just got the car back from tuners. rough tune stage. got a number of kinks to iron out before fine tuneing. great to drive, almost violent. had bought a wastegate with a 0.5 bar spring.turns out its a 15 pound sucker. runs super rich and managed to 254 kw at the wheel on the dyno. i dnt know how its supposed to feel like on the road, but after sum 'testing' tonight is it brutal from 3500 all the way to 6.pinged occationally, and had a few great backfires.lovely
  6. yum. think the next project is not far away might buy shares in shell/mobil
  7. Plumbing??? what plumbing? cant be easier. mount the 25mm thick radiator infront of the aircon.possibly without removing the fan.you are running a e34? plant the water/air unit anywhere there is space and buy sum cheap garden hose.and a small pump. or cut a 3" or so hole though everything and paying large $$ for silican elbos and bends etc. but each to there own
  8. Also, the water to air intercooler i'm selling has less the 1 psi drop. worth thinking about.

  11. dont know what you need to run a low boost supercharger set up. but as for the oil filter housing; get or check up on the 750 setup.it is a remote.they have the oil filter bolted up against the left gaurd, rather tidy
  12. thankfully it stayed dry long enough for Brendan and I to finish stripping down on Sat. loaded onto trailer today. Guy's got plans to fit V12 into a lambo replica of some sort. this motor sounded fantastic at around 6G as he was 'making shore it didnt smoke' test forkhoist makes life sooo much easier trailing arms and self-leveling bits will sell i'm shore bolt cutters;the answer when your tired of unscrewing 20yr old bits see ya,thanks for your $$

    Turbo 318iS

all a good sale needs is someone with the money and a desire to have what you have to sell. sometimes you need to get the kids into the candy shop before they start buying.

http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa128/red535t/ engine; e34 block (early) Hartge few scratches in 2 of the bores.but used it as the holes were straight and not much wear measured. pistons; kept the originals 9.0- compression' a few markes but hey it was cheap. new rings-nothing fancy/new bearings shells/seals MSL gasket -25% thicker then standard head off a e32;stripped and reasembled by shop.best of what i had in the parts bins(valves, rockers) reground cam shaft. apparently a little more angle(?) revy?? new timing chain-slotted front sprocket,TDC perfect. after the engine was reasembled i fitted a m5 paddle clutch and dropped it back in the hole.clocked up 1000 odd k's before removing the exhaust /manifold and started fitting up the bits 42lb injectors-cheers TCD 38mm wategate cheers TCD Turbo-t61 100mm intake.T4 hotside think i'll get a beany for the hot bit-it glows HKS 100 filter pod for the front of its mouth to keep birds and small children being sucked in to it. 2.5' exchaust from begining to end with 1 coby and 1 3' muffler at the end. had it running with the old loom/ecu and it wasnt too loud but has lost the bmw 'burble' intercooler sourced overseas (which i bring into the country, one of which is now on trademe). frontmounted 18'x12' radiator still to come to cool all the hot stuff down 3 VDO sender units for the usual info-oil pressure/water temp/boost.looking to fit a small/tidy digital display sum where in the dash looking to re-wire a e34 loom into the bay.looks a heap more tidier.and then an ecu.looking to go with a EMS 8860 system. keep stock ignition at this stage this is 4 months of on/off mucking round in the shed has produced cheers marty
