Thanks everyone! Thanks Julian, it's been really good - Petrol economy better than my 530 ( ) , there was a knocking when I shifted that was driving me crazy when I first got it. After Tom's recommendation changing the differential bolts to the new ones that's pretty much gone. Really smooth to drive, now with the shorter shift lever and lower, weighted gearknob the shift is way better than stock too.

The lads at HellBM were kind enough to install my BMW Performance shift lever, and also replace the differential bolts with the new design which has reduced the knocking when shifting substantially (Thanks to Tom for recommending this!) The shift lever paired with the low Storm gear knob is much more direct and positive than the stock option. Very happy with it and for a fraction of a full SSK cost! Got this today as well... Unfortunately it's not the type of box I wanted (CSL)

Got the BMW Performance shift lever today (A family member brought it back with him from the UK so it was only $125 for the whole set-up) rather than $200+ here! Having Ray install it on Friday if he's got the space. I've also got a couple of the differential bolts that superceded the ones in my car which will hopefully reduce a bit of the clunk under shifting. These will go in at the same time if Ray can at the time Seems that most people who have installed them have been happy and at the price I couldn't help but try it out. At the very least it'll tie me over until I can afford to buy an AutoSolutions SSK. The Storm knob is going really well, has smoothed out the shifts really nicely and I highly recommend it to anybody! Also have an alcantara BMW Performance handbrake handle on its way from Tom Might just have to get some alcantara boots now!
