  1. Found this lying around so going to install it this week It's a Beltronics RX75.
  2. Further down the thread the guy mentions he initially tried a hairdryer but it wasn't producing enough heat, I think I'll give it a go in future but I'll do it on some practice leather first (offcuts from an upholsterer and deliberately wrinkle them)
  3. Julian, I've been reading about using heat treatment on conditioned leather to "shrink" it back to it's original size (tightening out the creases and deep wrinkles) What do you think? This guy's done it with good results. Obviously A LOT of care would need to be taken. http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=80602
  4. That looks stunning mate. Job well done.
  5. To those who drive Brighton Rd. in Parnell I almost kcufed the car on a similar manhole bump, although the one's on Brighton are about 4" tall (or were this morning!) Good to see you got it sorted.
  6. Heh You weren't there? Did I miss you? I thought I got offered one of your Mrs. juices. Perhaps you'd already gone... I was parked up by Ray, the CSLs, and the E30 M3s. The additional pages will hopefully be more update dense.
  7. You could find better things to spend your money on than pod filters and intakes for these two cars; whether it's on car-related things or not.
  8. I love the drive up north Beers seem a perfectly acceptable payment method in NZ.
  9. Just ordered my 'Shift Style' shift boot and handbrake boot. Decided on black leather (over alcantara) with dark grey stitching to match the seats. Pretty good price IMO - $67USD incl. shipping from the states for both. Custom made, lots of other options but I decided on something subtle. They use an elastic base to go around the plastic frame so they're reusable and don't necessarily need to be glued. Decided to get it due to not wanting to butcher my original gear knob just in case I decide to revert for whatever reason.

    E60 M5

Here are a couple of options: (1) You can go to a car audio specialist and request an AUX input. For my E39 I recall being quoted about $170 but that was awhile ago and I may be a bit off with the number. (2) Edit: Looking at this again I don't think it's E60 compatible You can go for an integration system. In my current E46 I have a DICE Silverline Duo by Bavarian Soundwerks. I plugged the E60 M5 details in and they came back with this recommendation: http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/category...ne-Integration/ My sound quality is good, and it's simple to use. Bit more expensive though.

    E60 M5

Nice car ! Regarding iPhone/iPod input, is this just for music or total integration of features?
  12. Heh can't imagine liking ambers on the phoenix M3s. I've seen them on white cars and liked the look too!
  13. Looking forward to seeing how the gauges go. Always something I wanted to try but never had the balls to mess around in there for fear of knocking something out of calibration (don't even know if this is possible)
  14. Hah! Took like 2 hours but I caught on
  15. Sorry I've missed what you're saying here. Could be tiredness! Re: cleaning just a wipe down with rubbing alcohol seems to be the go Painful to what? Just use what for the gears? I'm lost!
  16. Just ordered my Storm Motorwerks V1 shift knob Titanium plated to avoid ring scratching! (not mine )
  17. Heh, 1 number different from my girlfriend's plate
  18. It did. Great video! Love that colour too ... Mmmm
