  1. Amazing. This guy must have been well rewarded?
  2. Nice work, the motor will sit quite well with that front style sump notched back. It's interesting to see the different routes taken to move the sump around, in my rear sump setup, I made a 3mm laser cut adaptor plate that pulled the pan back 50mm or so keeping it intact. Baffle wise I just used the stock top plate baffle that reduces the sloshing around, however you'd definitely want some proper baffles for track use. Easy enough to do at least.
  3. Yeah there's lots of stupid stuff like this. You just have to ignore it and be glad you don't partake in such a style.
  4. Hmmm how does the boot get so rusty? Must have been a leak..?
  5. Awesome. Interested to see how this turns out.
  6. Used parts, sort of.. depending on how sought after that part is. But any new parts are just as expensive as a brand new model.
  7. Mmm that is a nice shot Graham
  8. Hmm looks pretty decent the M4, although I see a hint of Lexus styling.... Hmm the general proportions of that G11 7er look awful... it shall be interesting to see how it turns out.
  9. Very tasteful indeed. Also, that surf is huge!
  10. They are nearly 1/4 century old these cars so regardless on the mileage they do need work done on them these days, seals, hoses, gaskets, electrical connections and bearings would be deteriorated in the majority of the examples out there. It's not to say they are all broken, but kind of on borrowed time - due for replacement etc. Main points of focus are the suspension bushes and ball joints, along with the steering box, check for play and cracked bushes, the front end thrust arms love to go causing vibrations at motorway speeds. The cooling systems are also prone to neglect so check them out. If you intend to buy one for cheap, have the same amount of cash you paid for it to spend on repairs, if you don't fix it sure it will run, but it's much more rewarding to drive a car knowing it's being looked after where possible.

    E36 325i manual

Get an M-Tech front bumper next, the non motor sport front bumper really dulls the look of these cars.
  13. Jacked the car up and removed dual exhaust system. Removing exhaust manifolds to prep for HPC coating next week.
  14. Welcome Brad. Be sure to put up some pictures of your M3! Enjoy the forum.
  15. Agreed What an awesome watch that was, thanks for sharing Josh.

I was thinking the very same thing, spot on. It's actually really disappointing. If I was looking to spend $20k, I would just avoid the E90, try for a late production E46 with that good looking face lift front end. They are probably one of the best all round cars sedan, touring or coupe, especially in the 330ci spec.. I would have one in a heart beat if I hadn't spent all my focus & money on my E36.
  17. Yeah it becomes a how long is a piece of string question. With that mileage, it depends firstly if it was done on the Motorway A-B at speed or done in the city, short stop start drives. Unless its a good price with service history, there are probably better ones to try found out there.
  18. Yeah, better off to just sell and buy a 530i.
  19. Welcome. Hope you enjoy the forum.
  20. I suppose for the throttle blip you would need an electronic throttle body or a series dual throttle body valve, one of which is controlled to restrict the intake for a split second. Then again, I wonder if it's better to do it electronically altering the fuel or ignition to reduce the engine load. How do they do it on Ferraris and the like?

    I'm back

Welcome back. Nice E30 you have there!
  22. They are completely legal as long as the loudest setting stays under the dB limit for the engine specification.
  23. Mmmm that is a really nice setup by the looks, seems like the drive is using it really well. For the control the auto, I had a PCS TCM 2000 unit, it has up to 9 PWM outputs to control what you will, obviously best intended for solenoids... I'm sure such a unit could also control what you've been describing. A lot of possibilities really, I guess they key is turning something that can be otherwise gimmicky into a direct benefit for the intended use. Could you see this setup in your E30?
