  1. Just swapped left to right I think. That center pulls out like a hubcap. I've seen a thread around somewhere someone detailing fakes and the real ones, easily identifiable from the backside of the wheel. It's not a bad looking car really if those wheels are legit.
  2. Jacket, and a pair of sunnies. Quite a tricky little window to repair that one. Remember to set the door rubber in place prior to pushing the new window in... Between the bastard clips and that rubber I almost punched it in myself. lol! Rubber came right with around a half cup of armour-all used as lube. Actually, if you see up the top of the window there's a hole where he/they had used some tool to pop the window, a punch or whatever. I was sleeping around 5 meters away and heard nothing.
  3. As an aside - Not that I'd ever expect to see many of these around Auckland CBD. But they must be getting a bit thin around anyway eh? $600.. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1396160993978209&set=gm.706327156121312&type=1
  4. Bought a litre of Penrite a month ago, was around $30.
  5. It would seem madness to not be able to knock a bit off the crank and reshell it. Surely thats an option?
  6. Uh-oh, you rubbed the lantern the wrong way and got the angry blonde midget genie on your ass now...
  7. Neighbors 750iL just had $2000+ in front bumper repair. lol! Stunning car, black on black, nice M-pars, fully optioned less heated seats. AA told him when he went to claim on the bumper (someone backed into it) the entire car was valued at $2300..
  8. I don't see the added value over a LWB one. What is it? The rarity?
  9. Wasn't someone here looking for one of these? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-776369822.htm
  10. I have a few 5HP30 repair manuals and bits and pieces in PDF form I can email if you like. I'd collected them from vague sources around the place.
  11. These are juvenile as, I lol every time though.. Probably NSFW, pretty tame though.
  12. I'm in the same boat. Will make my way down to central sooner or later. A couple speeding tiks and no wof/rego when I was poorer sees 3 months. I was dic'd a couple times in my misspent youth. Just changed ownership into a mates name and used his license. We're both better off just handing it in and wearing it other than being stranded roadside and taxi'ing home. Lol. I did ask and was told the suspension doesn't have a time limit so apparently theres no avoiding it.
  13. Bummer. Would seem a reasonable asking price for what you get over a regular coupe. Quite like that contrast interior too.
  14. I dunno. Carjam calls it a 2990CC M3 and Jimbo the snake oil peddler calls it a 2500CC M3. I suppose the VIN would be helpful. The bodykit, wheels and interior and wing mirrors look right though doesn't it? Nice colour anyway
  15. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-775818237.htm I wouldn't have a clue, Carjam lists it as 3 liter but doesn't supply a VIN. No engine details/pics on TM either.
  16. The e34 probably has a bit of leeway seeing it's a 'one shape only' car too. It's not like there's a coupe in there to mix up any sport variation. Like an XR, XW, XY falcon kind of thing. I can see the e36 coupes being a sought after classic in time. That boxey looking shape is growing on me.
  17. What centre bore are the wheels? I have some new 74.1mm >72.5mm here.
  18. Quite an outrageous thing to do though. Go buy brand new crate motor and box. He obviously loved that car.
  19. Two pics of a gearstick and none of the car? lol!
  20. If it's that bad something will jump out and be clear. tierod/balljoint. Grab the strut and give it a good shake too top and bottom.
  21. Can you copy/paste in anything else? Notepad or outlook email or something. If so close and launch whatever browser you're running, or reboot your PC.
  22. I'd be lifting the front, grabbing the wheels and checking where the play is coming from, by the sound of those symptoms the problem should almost leap out and be fairly obvious having a good look while rocking a wheel.
  23. Good effort smacking it over. It quickly becomes out of control once you start ripping bit's to pieces to find unexpected drama.
