  1. I guess airbag hasn't gone? If it's cheap enough, I'd be interested (maybe) and you can keep the big block.
  2. Andrew, I'm easy, let me know when suits. Cheers.
  3. If the CD stops playing on bumps, the suspension is hard IMO.
  4. Our m325 has had the Bilsteins replaced with Monroes and most of the time it's absolutley fine, in fact it's great fun. The convertible has had Msport springs and bilsteins put in by me (who knew that convertibles and coupes had different ride heights??) and even with the flexi conv body, it is IMO, better. But only at higher speed cornering. If you hit a compression in the road just b4 a corner, give me the bilsteins. Their control over the body for rebound etc is def superior. The ride is pretty hard around town ,but that's a reflection of spring height, not the bilsteins, which will be replacing the Monroes at some stage. Does this make sense, or am I just ranting?
  5. Let me consult the finance committee. Not sure how keen she'll be on a set of tyres sitting around the house..
  6. Thanks guys. Damn you're good Will, I knew you'd have the answer! It's shorting out my alarm, which didn't bother me until the other car got stolen last week. Thought maybe it was time to make it work again.
  7. Can anybody point out to me what I'm missing in trying to remove the speaker grilles in the footwell (front)? I need to get to the wiring for the door switches and this seems the logical way to do it. There's only one screw that I can see, but they ain't budging. Cheers.
  8. Bugger. Just bought some last Friday. Could maybe buy 2 though. . . . .
  9. 4 x new bilsteins quoted at $1000 + GST + fitting at Centreline in Auckland.

    Red

Zinno, colour of the convertible, with 15" baskets, black roof and lowered, I reckon it's pretty damn good.
  11. Exactly, what are you reading my mind? For sale, Legacy RS, 91, facelift, 1 careful owner.

    Take Note

    What a muppet.
  13. Found! Go the police. Without stereo, smashed locks etc. Viewing tomorrow. Apparently full of the losers worldly possessions (he was kicked out of his house), which will be binned tomorrow. Thanks guys for your help and suggestions.
  14. I like the wheels. Is that spoiler a cut down Supra or something, it's awful. Car looks nice though.
  15. Both manual, should be 2 votes.
  16. Not really, Rockford Fosgate components in the front, Alpine 3525 amp, Sony XM222 amp, 10 inch boxed sub, Sony CDX C480 player, alpine somethings in the rear. I suspect it's being parted out as we speak.
  17. Thanks for the suggestion Sic, it's on Spotter. Had to wait for my ins broker to tell me who insured it.
  18. Can't find a photo, have one at home. Standard facelift '91 Legacy with not so standard $3k of stereo. 3.5 inch stainless steel Sti exhaust tip. Curses.
  19. Not my BMW, but my much loved Legacy RS, which I've had for 9.5 years. Cherry black, standard wheels, factory big bore, plate no SKCNO1. If anyone sees it, I'd love to know, 021 685 063. Cheers. Taken from Westmere last night.
  20. Unless you drive around without a licence plate, what's the difference? Are you trying to suggest that thieves etc troll through sites like this to get rego numbers/trace cars, but pay no attention to the cars they're targeting when they're driving/walking around? Switch from milk to coffee.
  21. Maybe it was nobody on here. Everytime I drive my Legacy, I see Bimmers, drive the Bimmers, see Legacys. The Bronzit one looked like it was on 17s, in fact it looked like one that was at Turners damaged about a month or so back
  22. Yeah, I wondered about the Bronzit. Definitely 2 door in black.
  23. Hmmmnn, now you've put doubt in my mind! Sure it was CKW and had silver mags tho'. Around uni. Other one in Queen St.
