  2. I'm pretty sure the "Reds" aren't adjustable, and they don't look like E30 rear shocks!
  3. speaking of which... Engine hoist's are great, Sam & I have one. Engine stands are also great, esp. if you have a spare engine to have on one!!
  4. FYI it's a 325 with wide ass guards, 40mm wider each side than a M3!!!

You will find the euro engines are still called S50B32's and share the same cast iron block as the S50B30.The Yanks called them S52 because the M50 was changed to a M52 (with the introduction of the 2.5 (323) and 2.8 (328) which have a alloy block, except for the US 'cause they are so anal about anything new but they still went with the new naming. The reason I mentioned that is, if you stick S52B32 into google you get a hole lot of US. crap, not the euro info you are looking for.
  8. FYI the engine is a S50B32. The yanks call their M3 engine's S50B30's & S52B32, in reality they are built M50 & M52's respectively and prolly don't share anything in common with the Euro M3 engines except maybe the crank & rods!?!?! Is wasn't the Bronze one off trademe was it??
  9. A 1UZ-FE roughly fits into a 700mm Cube. Have a look on http://forums.toymods.org.au there are people use the engine alot over there and they have heaps of info.
  10. I thought of going with a 1UZ. Major issues would be the brake booster & the steering column. Not a conversion for the faint-hearted thats for sure.

    Gusto, good/bad news I guess, at least you know where you are at now. Bevvies on sat are a must I think!! Give me a bell if you wanted to sort something out re: E36 backend, good opertunity to take it back with you!! The black Tstar reps forsale would look fat with a machined lip on a black E30, and bigger brakes!!
  12. Spacers are dangerous and illegal!!Properly made adaptors are perfectly safe and legal with a cert plate!! But of course nothing is always best!!
  13. There are a few around, prolly cheapest to get them ex. USA. Rouge engineering H&R Turner Motorsports Or get some made loacally, Les Hunter (chch) could prolly whip some up for you. You will also be needing a cert plate to run them, and they are not "Spacers" they are adaptors as far as LVVTA are concerned. What you are currently using are illegal, as are your wheels if they are not hub-centric.
  14. I have read the S50B30(US) cams can be put into a M50B25. I'd say they would also go into the M52B25's head. You don't need to take the head off to swap the cams, but if you have a M52B25 (323i) you'll definitely want to swap to the OBD1 (M50) inlet manifold. Have a read on bimmerforums, there are quite a few guy's running 325 & 328 race cars with those mods.

  16. According to the all powerful ETK: The LSD Centre was only used on E21's, How ever the side bearings are the same as a type 168 (small case) diff (found in E30/36's). The stub axles are also E21 specific, whether that is because the splines count or dia. is different!?!?! And No the complete diff will not bolt into a E30 subframe. If you can get it cheap enough, have a play!! Oh, BTW it should be a 3.45:1
  17. If you are running a MOMO wheel you can get spacers from your local distributor, they are ~12mm thick.
  18. Check out grunts bushes, it is an ozzy guy that does urethane CA bushes for the E24/28/32/34
  19. I just went and had a look at the 325i in wellington for Gus. It is a very tidy E30 with low (for a E30) km's. The Kit & Wheels look fantastic. It has had $$$ spent on the Engine & Auto Trans so they should give trouble for a long time. So if gus doesn't grab it someone should!!!

  23. Vwhy do za scandenavians toone so rich eh? I presume it is because they don't have the facilities too!!So they are prolly all road tuned (butt dyno), and rich = safe in most cases!!
