Some better photos, I'm just going to end up using this post as my project post, got a bit of stuff I want to do to it. First on a bit of a fixing mission, and a clean. Then onto - grills - wheels - trim Performance improvements essentials like painted calipers and rocker cover cowl
-
Ok so now it's not pitch black I popped the bonnet and had a look, Some wise ass didn't plug in the coolant level sensor. Warning light gone One more problem to fix lol

Just bought an e91, and there's a minor issue i'm curious about The low coolant light comes on when i first start the car, and also when i kill the engine after driving I've got full service history on it, the last service was pretty meticulous, and he said that light only started coming on after that service and they said something about having to bring it back in to reset the service light or something? I've checked the coolant, it's full, done a full trip in it to auckland and back and no dramas. Do I reset this with the brake + hold ODO to access service options? Or do i need to get someone with a tool to reset something How do i figure out if there is a faulty sensor

So I'm back to BMW, the 4AGE was a dream but you can't beat BMW Hopefully picking up some msport wheels today. Bit of stuff to do to it. Needs some love. Also open road I'm getting 7l to 100km on 325i !!! Wow!! I guess I'll lose all that in suburban driving

Smoking Tail Lights - Anyone got flagged?
325_driver replied to 325_driver's topic in General Discussion
yeah i was reading that, but are they "technically" legal? LTNZ does state that nearly any modification can flag them as illegal. Are you allowed top tint the white part on the non LCI lights red also? -
New e91 on the way, and thinking of a small list of things to do to it to give it some love. I want to slightly smoke the tail lights, but wondering if anyone has got flagged for doing it? I'm assuming that slightly smoked lights will be ok as they still meet the description? "Must be substantially red Must be bright enough to be visible from 200m in normal darkness The stop lamps must also be visible from 100m in normal daylight (smoked lenses generally prevent this)." Has anyone failed a WOF before after smoking their tail lights?

Sounds nearly as interesting as the 4AGE engine i'm currently wresting with You know you own a 4AGE when you end up replacing an alternator while your car is stuck at a gull service station. (i.e. what happened to me today) Could have driven it a bit further but didnt want to risk it dying in the middle of tauranga harbour bridge peak traffic lol

It got to enjoy the digestive system?
-
Well hopefully my wagon sale doesnt fall through this wednesday, and I'll grab the e91, and grab em. Juggling act here
-
i've found a pair (within price) that will probably do me a lot better, but i'm too afraid to mention anything about them, size, style or even location as i'm sure some one on here will snipe me and scoop them up before i get them. lol
-
Seriously, did you buy them all? I hope so
-
Especially where I live, Rural, and state highway 2 between tauranga and katikati is falling to pieces lol I'm tempted to fit em for a few months see how I go, while keeping an eye out for the other styles in 18" i've been trying to find, and then sell them. Months ago there were heaps of BMW wheels available, now they have all disappeared!
-
8.5 Yeah i was doing a bit of hunting for specific profiles, do i didn't have to potentially do some guard rolls. I'm going to do a test fit, might not be that bad
-
Well more specifically , 18 offset, looks like those wheels are from a 5 series. and from my reading e90's look like offset's round the 30's, I can see an alpina wheel with 24 offset that will fit. Has anyone rocked 19" wheels ET18 on a e90/e91?
-
Do 19's guard rub at all on e91's? planning on like 235/35 on fronts
-
So I think i've pretty much settled on the car, hopefully mine is picked up this wednesday and i'll be picking up a 2006 e91 325i right after It's definitely the n52 But i've been trying to find the model / engine match for this car on say - RM european - FCP european I've checked with years settings all through 2005 to 2008 and the only n52 variants I find are like 3.0l Are they all 3.0l capacity?
-
Yeah i have issues counting past 5 or 6 lol ?
-
I'm glad i posted, because i genuinely thought they were either 359 or 359 replicas like my old ones with 8 segments, it was only until someone mentioned it, i realized it was 7 segments ! Lol fail
-
i've asked the seller, see what he comes back with
-
yeah i was looking at that, on that site I don't think they are OEM then, must be replica, it can't be anything else, because there's no style on that entire page that matches the number of segments
-
I'm eying up some wheels on an e91 that i'm getting I think these are style 359 Never noticed those rivet thingies on the inner lip
-
Exterior Shape - i like! Interior, not so much, it feels too much like a star trek episode
-
But with 6k entry price, I could have 3-4k stashed away in the $#!% happens corner. Or am i right to assume, those repair costs are entry fees only lol?
-
Was aiming round the $5,000 mark, plenty of 325i's on the market I found one low km's now, but it's the 2006 model < 120,000km and < 5,000 which is ideal for a nice runner. Looks like it has the n52 engine in it Any noticeable differences between the n52 and n53? (not m-sport) Sadly Just can't justify heading to the 335i touring or coupe, although i want to! Although i saw one on trademe go for just over 6k!
-
I was eying this up - Good to see someone on bimmersport got it, i will be watching lol
