their bolt in style - definitely could have just always been a coil, failing on cold start up, not sure how exactly coils work - but maybe thats a common symptom of them on the way out think some cleans going to be a good place to start - then go from there.

@modz purchased my angel eyes - quick, easy, great communication too

yeah on the scan tool last time i remember some misfires - but i thought it might have been oil related i.e. some one mentioned having too thick oil in those engines can make o-rings stick and not go to the wall so loosing compression - but coils could have been the answer to that problem ages ago and was just coincidence the problem hasn't been as bad since the oil cihange.

must be really fatal then!

Really only use stock BMW sound now This amp had some serious kick , and great clean power for decent fronts + rears or if you wanted to hook up to sub. $100 + shipping I'm not sure what they would charge to ship - maybe $20-$30 Can upload more photos of the ports if you want, alot of things to customise / tweak Also theres some Wires in there, some long speaker wires, power, red/white plugs you can have it. Cheers

On second inspection i think the DISA does have play Has anyone done a rebuild on a DISA valve before / pretty straight forward? I might do it anyway when i do the CCV system + ICV clean. I also heard 1 noise like this once - and i saw some errors on the Testing Computer saying mis-fires that lead me to believe that maybe DISA play is causing some misfires on start up, and the popping noise being a mis-fire. It's not a rattle, it sounds like a pop Is that a valid arguement? That DISA (since it controlls air intake) could lead to mis-fires?

did you buy vacuum hose from FCP or do you buy like generic vacuum hose? haven't had a detailed look at their supply - never sure if they supply it as a specific part sometimes or whether it's just a generic like 7mm wide hose
-
So been doing some tests - Leading me to believe CCV system being the culprit - some where. DISA valve looks ok - no o ring leaks, flap is firm and holds under the diaphragm. The CCV replacement kit is relatively cheap - might as well order in that + some extra vacuum hoses / throttle body stuff and do it all. Any other small air intake pipes that can cause issues that anyone might know of / to be aware of?

that's exacty what i was watching last night binge watching

yeah - im still getting the rules figured out for youshop - it works well with just over small parcells - since they charge 9.5 + -$3.5 per 500g intervals so usually small parcells i get for like 10-15$ (which seems to work well) but once things get into volumetric calcs it scales up a bit although recently they did a repack fee that saved me like $40 (like when part companies send big boxes with lots of unused space) they charge 4$ to repack it to reduce shipping. I guess i try and figure out the volumetric size of the parcel before using youshop, usually it's cheaper anyway. but curious how FCP would handle returns in that instance - whether they cover return postage?

Bought these a while ago and didn't end up using them since I diagnosed my light problem to something else. They are the LED ones that don't require ballasts and can wire directly in. CCFL ones use ballasts which tend to over heat and fail. $100 Inc shipping

And Dude - FCP euro youtube channel ! YES ! Definitely thinking doing the CCV system + Disa valve repair Car has 210,000k on the clock so making me nervous

I've been using NZ Post's new service called youshop The parts place sends it to the warehouse with like my ID on it - then they route it to me. Most i've paid is $45 in shipping, which was quite a large box with those rear panel weather strips in it + valve cover gasket + sump gasket + mounts etc (i think it was the volumetric size that triggered it) usually it's under $20 I'd be very curious to see what youshops shipping cost's would be on larger items too.

FCP question - what do you usually pay for shipping to NZ? (small packages / wide packages) You use their UPS option?
