  1. Any idea what this is? Can't find anything on real OEM for it My plug into it was pretty munted so wondering if it's going to play up if I don't get the pins connected back in there again be properly.
  2. Air con tool didn't help with that one for some reason, with the other plugs yup! just the one that mattered lol Thanks for confirming those plugs are in parallel, i seemed to come across a heated discussion on another forum saying that the wiring order can cause faults or issues with the running of engine. What on earth are they? What/how do they measure? What do they send a signal to lol
  3. Did some digging and answered my own question, if anyone else ever forgets the order here it is
  4. So, for future reference for anyone else searching Got the manifold off today, oil pouring out of the intake The CCV is GONE BURGER So for anyone in the future experiencing a combination of - Lean Codes - Rough start up idle - Oil consumption Get a good torch, check down the side of the block, if you see oil, your CCV is probably the culprit
  5. Ended up breaking it to get it off. What a bitch of a connector. Question I'm hoping someone can clarify. Does the order of the plugs in this matter.
  6. Will this do? Both of them are just Earth's I think
  7. So im two hours in, and wresting with trying to get this bottom CCV hose off, everything else is fine i knew this one was a bitch, but i don't think i'm gunna get this one off lol If there's any tricks to this let me know, lol but this is looking like a 3 day job for one hose
  8. And where does this Earth go? Rocker cover maybe? Just realized it wasn't connected
  9. Just taking off things to get to my CCV. And wondered if the throttle body should be angled like this . Haven't touched the inside or anything, just looked in there and I usually thought they were all the way closed normally
  10. Going matte black on the trim, no more woodgrain! decided matte black over carbon fibre because it nearly pulls of a stock standard look was hoping the vinyl would hide some of the cracks in the center console trim, nearly does, but really happy with how it all came out.
  11. I guess to top it all off, i had the thick wood to help provide a level surface for the axel stands, don't feel comfortable having axel stands on gravel. Don't worry i had my old BMW wheels under it just incase it rocked off the stands XD You needed 50cm clearance at the front to get the gear box under the front bumper / chassis!
  12. I dont know what i just read here lol, i hope everyone came out a winner in this thread ?
  13. my vice grips weren't big enough! honestly, this was the only option lying around that would work. Actually, during the transmission swap, because someone stole my ropes and straps that i usually use, I had to use a phone cable to counter balance the back end of the transmission to line up the transmission spline. Never say die! Winning!
  14. I tried with a massive pry bar, but i obviously lacked the muscle groups or the angle So i pulled out the big guns
  15. So I ended up doing a bit of work on the missus car this weekend, New CVT transmission, new brake pads, rotors etc But lacking a G-clamp of all things, and had issues compressing with leverage alone between rotors and old pads - I had to dig deep with innovation Thought some might find this funny, if not down right legendary This weighed 15kg however, bloody heavy to lug up there !
  16. Used 2pk CV paint w hardener. They kind of have gloss mixed in. I curbed one the other day though so have to repaint one of them
  17. Sorry, I was using it like a highlighter - my bad
  18. thats a dealership price for sure, low km's though i suppose, but i wouldn't pay more than $8,000 for that considering e91 335i's are around that price too now!
  19. well i have 1 vin number i'd like to try and get more information about, i've tried car jam and a few other OEM sites, where would i go to hopefully look up a transmission model?
  20. Only a few had Vins visible, and couldnt find the information I need
  21. So my missus' Nissan Tiida CVT is about to $#! the bed, and the pricing down here is a tad steep for a box, vs $150 or so at pickapart. There are a few tiida's at pickapart takanini - how ever there's no image of the vehicle motor / transaxel plate that i can see to confirm that they have a compatible box there. Wondering if someone might be able to help me out here?
  22. Thats those 6x individual round seals aye? i'm too used to a single gasket
  23. lol i know, those clips i've had some very intimate moments with in the past i'm just glad i caught it now, for a second after everything i was reading, apparently 1l of oil every 3,000 is perfectly normal, so i was just going to live with it lol in this case - NOPE And wouldnt it be funny, if the CCV is actually fine, but its the head gasket that is stuffed because the shop that put it back together didn't do it right XD that would be a grand start to this car
  24. now that there is actually good lighting i had a nosey down the intake manifold gaps, it is wet as anything with oil, looks like oil is coming past the intake seals, over the head and down onto the block. must be nearly 50ml+ of fresh oil just sitting round there on the pro side, it looks relatively fresh, i.e. maybe the CCV just went recently, as theres no old oil caked on down there
  25. I wouldn't be paying more than $3 for this also I saw a 325i manual facelift, mint condition listed not too long ago for round 8k
