-
anyone got one they can flick for 30 + postage?
-
Yeah might need to buy another one of them dammit, unless the other spare one i have lying arround works, is there a relay or a fuse that i should be aware of in regards the fuel pump/ ext and int just incase a fuse has gone

any one had an internal fuel pump in an e30 die ? i over heard a topic a while ago that e30s have a internal fuel pump to prime the external pump? true ? What would be some symptoms if this internal pump was faulty?
-
i was hoping they saw me with ma head, and hands out the window trying to grab a touch of the e30 ness as i drove past, while yelling GIGGEDY GIGGEDY ! (caltex station whakamamamara )

Any one got a 3 bar fuel regulator willing to flick for cheap for an m20 motor Thanks heaps
-
so im assuming if the original one was 3,0 bar, then i should stick to a 3 bar one. as injectors, fuel pressure are all to match the ecu
-
Hey guys Some m20b25s have 3 bar fuel regs, and 2.5 bar Im taking that theres no hp difference, and the engine will run the same with both? why the variance ?

after a bit of time in auz beached az bro, appears to have caught on, over the ditch who HASNT heard this phrase being hammered? i only heard it in auz never even heard, or came across the utube of it either !

lol as a kiwi i will amen to that, but i find its the minority in the majority that ruin it for every one only problem is, our minority has now become the majority, and its a battle for survival on the roads when it comes to giving way, and i have always been aware of the road rules, but have had enough run ins and encounters to have adopted a new tactic (well 2), - the main one being, dont be arrogant of arrogance, and murphies law rules NZ roads, and assume every one on the roads cant see you and are dimwhitted pricks. because the moment i havent assumed this, ive found my self in close calls. TAKE nothing for granted assume everyone found their lisenses in a wheetbox packet OR - if you cant beat em, join em tactic, which i will admit, seems tempting, but for the sole sake of not becoming just another a**hole, i try and stick to the 1st tactic, just crank the stereo up and chill, waiting for people to get their road rage outa the way and continue on with the drive either way, its every man for them selfs contemplating bullbars on ma e30

have ripped motor in and out, checked every earth, every where i had a thought, the old motor ran a TAD sluggish before i ripped it out the new motor ran like crap when i put it in and the only thing i havent changed over was the fuel filter/pump, I have had a few cars where ive left standing with little gas in the tank, and after finished fiddling round 6 months later the fuel pump needs to be replaced. So wouldnt be supprised if its a fuel pump related issue, Will let every one know soon, by tuesday i hope its all fixed . . .

Stick to some thing higher than 320i, 323i manual 325i manual the power difference is worth the money as for pre facelift and face lift there are pros and cons to both sides, but no major problems with either one as is said, just make sure its a 2.3 liter 323 or a 2.5 liter 325

the only other place which could have a leak like that, which i havent heard of, or seen. is maybe the fuel pump, which is rear left passenger side, under the door near the wheel. maybe some pipes have perished there. (maybe even have it running and pop your hear under for a sniff, obviously dont get too close, and dont have ignition sources!) Or pray you dont have a cracked petrol tank, cause that could be a pricey fix. But i dont know many fuel leaks that would cause a 'trail as you say'
-
a fuel leak, (if your lucky) shouldnt be hard to find, maybe even get a mobile mechanic out, or pay one of the bimmersport members in the area 2 boxes of beer to come around and have a a crack. I had the same thing and would imaging there be some similar pipes you could check but basically The fuel hose from the fuel filter near the fire wall, follow it to the injector rail. (that one of mine was pretty perished, and the hose clamp was barely holding it on, taking a guess, that would be my main guess.) And the fuel return line from the fuel pressure regulator (bolted front of manifold near distributor/ rocker cover) to the fuel return line, which meets up near where the fuel filter is also. Thats all the guessing i can do, since ive chased fuel leaks before, thats all the fuel lines i know about in a 1989 320i. Your best bet is to ask a Bimmersport member in the area nicely, for some beer to pop round and have a crack, or just pay a mobile mechanic. I would happily look and have a search, but im not in the area. Believe it or not e30's are not a as much of a night mare as some people make it out to be, and a mobile mechanic should be intelligent enough to find your leaks, fuel lines are pretty simple in the e30. I will try post some pictures up tommorow and show where the main fuel lines are.

No, the moment the engine went in this shell some thing was up, and there were a few things that could have caused this, but we have never been sure Another stab in the dark, as i hear the shell was left sitting for quite a while possibly the fuel pump could be running like crap, or maybe the m20b20 (original motor in shell) fuel pump doesnt have sufficient psi for m20b25? Does this sound more like maybe a fuel pump issue, its not whining, or making any strange noises I have a spare one at home and will replace, but still thinking the fuel pressure reg could be suspect to? Thanks for all your help, let me know of any other things that could cause the car to run like crap, fuel related, or strange problems any one has come across in the past ?

m20 Starter motor plus mounting bracket ?\

hey guys Having a sluggish car, not sure what it is Is a bit rough before and upto 2500 rpm, and then to the red line, it doesnt sound rough, just is extreemly sluggish. Doesnt have the kick it used to. What symptoms can i expect from a dying fuel pressure reg, im assuming thats the item (located on the intake manifold near the thermostat ?) Or maybe a faulty injector ? Thanks heaps
-
i dont know my e21's, but why didnt you just take bonnet off, loosen engine mounts, bottom bolt and top bolt, jack engine up? or there still not enough room to remove sump ? No engine hoist ? Thats how i saved my frustration
-
so the injectors fire the same as the spark ??

m20 starter motor ? Thanks heaps What bout fuel pressure regulator for m20b25? thanks
