  1. haha but for how long is the question, after these photos get released lmao
  2. Warning, Some of these images may offend some viewers, parental discretion is NOT advised LOL, you get a bit crazy waiting on parts to finish a project. The girl friend didnt wanna do any modeling shots on the car, so i took matters into my own hands haha This is an extension to the dragon photo idea, FEEL FREE TO SHARE, OR TAKE SCARY PHOTOS LIKE THESE OF YOUR OWN, im sure it could be a laugh, and a topic to remember
  3. sorry guys, they were connected, i just un-earthed them to take a photo, and with out that front position sensor pluged in the car wont run, which just confused me, because if that sensor doesnt effect the running of the vehicle, its strange that it doesnt start now.
  4. trying to help out with all the right information here, so some one could point out what is definately the problem, another thing that ripped off during the transplant were these earths, near the diagnostic plug, if all of them arnt earthing correctly could it cause sufficient power loss ? in taking the loom off the vehicle there are clips under the intake manifold, if any one knows which ones im talking about, (the injector plugs) i could have got a pair mixed round the wrong way, is there any way that could cause sufficient power loss ? going to be attacking it tonight but more so, if theres any thing you guys can rule out, that would be handy Thanks heaps Sorry if its a bit confusing, but wiring can some times drive me crazy, and it doesnt matter how well i seem to fN label things, i seem to mix things up. haha aw well, learning
  5. 99% sure its a facelift engine, because of the front mounted distributor, and ever since i touched the sensor on the front its caused a HUGE difference in throttle response, e.g. now i have none
  6. lol yeah in adjusting it, it managed to get fired off and shot into the alternator, never the less, hoping if ray pops onto this subject, is the top supposed to be shaved off ? or should there be a lip of metal coming out ? e.g. in this picture is it WORN to bugger
  7. This is the one on the front were talking about ? not the ones bolted onto the side of the gearbox bell housing ? installing a new one shouldnt be that hard? im having trouble following where the wires go thanks heaps for the heads up

the only input to this topic i will have is holy farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkn Sh$$t, got brownie points from me lol your crazy i might add, crazy
  9. Right, so after a bit of fiddling, have narrowed it down to the crank angle sensor, how do i know if it 1- needs adjusting e.g. correct position 2- is farked and needs replacing ? because now ive fiddled with it, i have NO throttle response what so ever atleast i know what the problem is, any help on solving this ?
  10. what is the correct position of the crank angle sensor ?, that may have been moved during the transplant, ecu im unsure of, will have to get it tested, and afm, im pretty sure is working fine, if its going to be a hassle ill just have to hang tight till the turbo build
  11. Grrr, hey guys, now that im 99% finished ofcourse some thing else has to go wrong my engine is missfiring, so heres my guess, wondering if any one else could agree that it could cause mis firing Before i ripped the engine out it was fine, plenty of grunt, no misfiring, or shaking of engine, engine is in a different shell, and ironically runs like a pig. So all parts below are new - Leads are fine, firing on every one - Replaced All spark plugs - Replaced Rotor - Replaced Dizzy cap My guess, in removing the engine, some unnamed idiot (brother) rigged a chain onto the front mount above dizzy and when removing engine stripped a bolt, mounting the dizzy to the head. so the dizzy isnt propperly secure im assuming, and is on a slightest angle. CAN this cause a car to run like a pig ? Yes, that most definately could be a problem ? Or no the car should run fine all be it its bolted on half decent ?
  12. e34 520, box must be a 240, cant see any crank angle sensor holes
  13. haha manual windows, cant say ive had a dash removal that hard lol
  14. this is more than helpfull guys !!!! , thanks heaps, especially when im doing this in the dark lol
  15. what are the fuses for the lights, well high beams to be exact and how do i take this light switch unit out? is the dash coming out too ? thanks heaps, got the low beams all going now, high beams have now mysteriously stiopped, bulbs are fine \
  16. any assistance ? before i start tearing out my dash for no reason ? could it be a relay problem ?
  17. Just recently ive been heading into pikapart, for my poor wee toyota that is packing up at the moment, and out of curiousity i thought id head to the bmw section, and WHAT A SHOCK HORROR, it is AMAZING to see whats been put to waste !!!!! Any one else came across some thing and gasped 2 Door Manual e30, Nothing has been touched, in pretty good nick too, just looks as if its dereged, what a waste a manual e34, hasnt been touched. also good nick. also, what a waste. So if anyones gunna want cheap manual conversion parts for the e34, or the 2door e30, pikapart tauranga is where its happening
  18. holy flying sh*t that car better be at the meets cause woah, you got 3 thumbs up from me
  19. hey guys, just wondering what could have caused this wondering if any one knows the wiring diagram in relation to the lights on the e30. The left low/dip beam, and right hand High beam have lost power, e.g. checked the bulbs, and there seems to be no power coming through the connection. And the dash doesnt seem to light up also so . . . Is this all related ? Am i going to have to take the dash out to follow the wires from the lights switch through to the connections ? where does the power meet up for the lights ? Any help would be awsome Cheers guys
  20. I DO NOT EVER WANT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THAT PROBLEM !
  21. Given my e30 325i a tune, used to only do 450 from full to the light, which i thought was alright, now it does (on trips, being nice)550 - 600, which i find quite odd, and 500 round town. i find you cant get any accuracy round town with all the stopping and starting and changing of rpm, can be really demanding on the fuel
  22. this is something i think you should get on video, maybe you tube it even, BMWS may not be the easy road (some times) but their the best road (all the time)

    e30 LEAKS

Hey guys, almost finish with restoring ma favorite e30 (the 325i) Learnt alot taking apart 90 percent of the car and putting it all back together again, and this topic i think would be good if alot of people put their past experiences/troubles in, cause when they leak they leak So i reakon this topic could be as future help for others pulling hair out because their carpet floor boards are SATURATED. (i dont know everything and im not a guru ) But Things i have found, - Sunroof drains, if these arnt maintained or cleaned, dont be supprised when the waterfall above your head comes - The seals between the bonnet and round the edges of the engine bay, if they over flow theyll go down the firewall and go through these possible things: heater hoses, or the rubber seal in the firewall where the clutch master cylinder is - I had a mini water fall coming through where my clutch master cylinder was, and ended up making a DIY cover and covered the hole with some sealant - This was the big one, and if i didnt take the carpet out of my car i would be able to point this one out, through the sunroof drains, they go down and under the floor boards, and if under the floor boards arent draining properly it will over flow into the carpet. with the last one i ended up having to drill a hole to drain the excess water (under the carpet there are clips bolting a clump of wires to the floor board near the base of the door, and i just drilled a small drainage hold directly under where the water was coming) Any how, done best i can to explain with words, and put some pictures to help get your head arround what i was explaining, But hope this helps, Because the ONLY way i know where these leaks are is because i removed all the carpet from my car, and went through alot of frustrating DAYS pin pointing the causes and LOCATIONS of these leaks. Any other input or correction from people that know more feel free, just wrote this up as a reference for any other people that are pulling their hair out and contemplating pulling their carpet out just to investigate.
  24. hey guys, had my car sitting for a while, started it, running like crap, feels like its missing. wasnt like it before, could it just be a old dizzy cap/ rotor rusting away, general wear and tear. or, in doing something i managed to take those 6 sensors off that must monitor the firing on the cylinders (Plugs that are between the intake and rocker cover) and all be it i labeled the order, theres a chance i put a few rounf the wrong way, what would that upset? or are they irrellevant to this?
  25. hey guys, thinking about putting a bimma motor in a 1985 dx wagon, what do you reakon? Am i downgrading bmw ? or doing the toyota some glory ? I want a m30 or some thing, would be interesting i think
