Yeah its looks more like general neglect not general wear and tear to my eye Probably hasn't spend much on it and is looking to get rid of it before something costly fails.

Good time to replace the chain tensioner.

To be frank mine was actually top of the line albeit ~20 yrs ago. Every euro seems to be 'ego massaging' to some.

"Licensed by Mercedes-Benz" made me laugh, maybe he's trying to say the model letters and numbers are off an actual Mercedes. At least its easily fixed but seems a bit overpriced to me.
-
For me yes but ive never been a fan of under powered cars packing an auto box.

Hankook do S1 EVO 2's in that size but as above. Id swap out all the tyres for a more common size if you are keeping the car.

+1 on traffic but a motorcycle owns them both in that regard while still being manual. I generally put a premium on manual but it comes down to the specific car in question in regards to how much.

I sold my genuine '89 NZ New 535iS for 6k, done just over 300k's. It could of used a respray but even if i had done it i would of been asking 8-9k max. Also very likely in far better mechanical condition etc.

9k haha. He must of added on the price of the paint job and rims to what he paid for it.

Some sort of Pioneer Carrozzeria. Google should have the rest.

Have you tested or replaced the expansion tank cap?

All ive ever used is in BMW manuals is Royal Purple Syncromax, Redline D4 ATF and MTL. In your case you'd use D4 ATF and call it a day. Ive used MTL and D4 in my parents E46 318i, the D4 is smoother when cold but MTL shifts the best once warmed.

Indeed but spoilt for choice comes to mind, not just cars either.

Just like most of the major German manufacturers, Mercedes, Audi etc, all having been pumping out a wide range of models for awhile. I guess when your products aren't as far ahead as they used to be you have to more toward quantity rather than quality.

Im sure if modern BMW's used decent quality plastic they be far more reliable. The plastic quality difference between my W140 and E38\E39 etc is day and night, and they both use recycled stuff. Technically BMW's are superior but the average person usually takes the most reliable.

Just stating my opinion from the information provided, i wasn't out to spite him. Always someone crying about something trivial these days.

Sounds like you want one just for the badge. Id suggest sticking with your Honda as it appears to meet your requirements, its always going to be cheaper maintain.
-
Id go for the recommended NGK std copper plugs.

330i M3 - he really believes it...."no test pilots" , "bes

I think he wants it to be an M3 but he's not one of those people who actual believe it and are trying to sell it as much. He's just trying to pull some marketing BS with M3 plastered everywhere. -
Everytime ive needed rotors ive ending up buying NZAD ones. Had them on at least 4 BMW's, have all been driven hard on the road and track with OEM pads and race pads. They never had any issues and are priced well.

Many BMW's are pre-wired for cd changers without having a cd changer. Yes connect the device into those plugs and run the necessary cables etc to the front of the car, assuming the plugs match.

Just fixed some AMG monoblocks with the same issue. Took me on avg 2hrs per rim but that was due to curbing and not taking the tyres off which would of made it easier. Used aircraft stripper on the lip to remove clear coat without touching the center(which is painted grey in my case), used dremel tool to remove curbing and sanded with 240-1500 grit paper, polished the lips Autosol then wax for protection. You don't need to clearcoat if you keep them maintained.

So when the shitty cooling system fails it only takes the head with it.

Id check the sunroof drain tubes aren't blocked for starters. Im sure there is plenty of info on google about how\what to check.

Sounds like you got water leaking somewhere, probably onto control modules. Has it got a sunroof?
