  1. Dont think the key can arm the system just disable it. So has the key fob has never worked at all? no led?. Did you have the fuse in when trying to resync it? Lot of possibilities, assuming the right procedure was used it can takes a few goes to get it to sync The alarm system may need to be reinitialized using software and have to keys resynced
  2. You talking about these ones? 72.6>74.1
  3. When you say the new key doesn't work, are you meaning the remote locking isnt working on it or the key isnt starting the car?

    E36 M3 Resto-mod.

Was that from the previous or another one in the past? Usually least 1 owner who hasn't carried the bag
  5. I bought 2x from turnersmotorsport for $230 landed. Last time i was at the dealer they charged me $70-80 for a std vinyl one.

Lucky you got this thing cheap, sounds like the previous owner wasn't giving it the tlc needed.
  7. Ive already got a front bar so no point in my calling. They pretty much only came on M5's which rare in NZ so the chances of finding out are next to zero, ive tried.
  8. All i know ive never been charged GST on less than $400 total cost. Used to get away with goods in the $400-$600 region sometimes, but not these days.
  9. True but you don't truly know whats its like until you test it yourself. Ive already got a 25mm front M5 swaybar so can compare it. I doubt there would be anything at the local dealers as the E34 is just too old now, no way they could beat overseas price anyway.
  10. and the Japanese. Its all about mass market appeal, generic looks and built to a cost these days.
  11. Have had a set of Meco compressors that were bought from Repco for $50. Had plenty of use and are holding up fine.

    M5 :-)

Think that car used to be in Hamilton, or the plate did at least.
  13. Also after going to back to stock strut mounts and not having the negative camber has made my steering response\feel(probably front grip also) decline significantly. May have to get some adjustable ones now the use the stock mounts.
  14. Actually talking to a company now is Australia that do a E34 27mm adjustable bar for $250, just to need to see shipping costs going to be. If i can keep in under 400 it could be worth it.
  15. You can get a M5 25mm one from Turnermotorsport for quite cheap. Are you running the Whiteline 20mm one?. The M5 25mm and 20mm bar set gives a good neutral balance for most situations. With big rear bar you are reducing rear roll but decreasing rear traction and adding oversteer.
  16. I like E9's like everyone else but id like 3-4 M powered cars more.
  17. Nice colour and it looks good those Schnitzers too(the kid seems to like it as well)
  18. I agree, they have all aged well and have a perfect old\new balance. Ive met quite a few people who thought my E34 came out in mid 90's. E39's still look good but are too common to really stand out.

Nice, the red and black combo looks sweet too.
  20. I dont mind wood trim either but for me its the fact that this looks incomplete, half done. If it had wood door trims, knob etc it would look better, but imo E31's are too modern to pull off a wood steering wheel.

  22. Exactly, its only on the intake. Ive seen a couple of dyno's showing the vanos M62 pulls better to about 3500rpm after that the non vanos M62 surpasses it and makes more power.
  23. Tuned M62B44 non vanos with M60 heads\intake manifold and possibly some headers.
