  1. I've put a 2.5 m50 out of a e4 525i in my 89 320i and it wasn't that much of a mission except for the exhaust manifold and wiring which I ended up doing did myself aswell. I've even used a manual steering rack out of a 316i e30. The only problem is going from a 4 cylinder to a 6 cylinder motor as you have all the smaller gear on your 316i. If I were you I would look at a chain drivin cam 1800cc bmw motor for your car and a getrag 240 gearbox with nessecary conversion gear. Cause if you want to chuck in a 6 cylinder then you need more than just a motor and trans.... my 0.02c
  2. Power windows between facelift and non facelift seem to be where the problem lies. I have run into having holes in the wrong place for the regulator to bolt up. But this is the only problem I've found
  3. haha Shot old man If I win lotto I wanna cage my beast and get into drifting. Like everybody says though.... even though you don't need power it's good to have it.. Mmmmmm Turbo
  4. Hahaha you went to repco in the first place??? hahahaaha
  5. Yeap check control arm bushes (CAB'S) but by the sounds of it you either need to get you front brake disc's machined or throw them away and buy some new one's mate cause the are warped
  6. Touching on what m325i said.... Why is there no e30's or let alone any BMW in the New Zealand Drift scene?? Going by how mine handles and the videos that I've seen on the net they look and feel like they drift sweet.

    Clutch

Yeah I got a Clutch through auto clutch also for my e30 with 2.5 m50 in it. Same guy as brent said. I got a 2500Ibs ( still sprung) and a carbon/kevlar plate (overkill) And had to exchanged my old flywheel for a machined up one from them. $855 all up it cost me. these guys know what they talking about .

Nice. f**kin tough looking that low dude. At least it does't look like everyone else's E30. So whats coming next year?? Motor transplant and switch to a manual gearbox??
  11. Do you live in south africa. Going by the look of the security fence in the background of the photos I'm assuming you do. Are you able to stop at the traffic light's at night in your area...
  12. Mate depending where you are Gus or myself or anybody else on here could service it for you. Or buy some tools and a jack and stands and do it yourself. Cause if you gonna pay a garage to do services and repairs it's gonna cost you heaps. The only thing you should need to take it into bmw for is to reset the service lights but then I see they are selling the service light tool on trademe...... must get myself one of thoughs. Bottom line .... parts are cheap and plentyful from the right person Bmw Garage or most garage's are expensive $40 - $95 an hour and that's just labour my .02c
  13. Cool thanks for the correction
  14. Should have a vanos solenoid on it also pretty sure your oil filler cap is towards the front of the valve cover where as the non vanos is towards the back of valve cover
