Now that the tax cut policy is out there... we can make an informed judgement about which party's bribe we like the most.
-
Those look pretty good to me. Ollie you mind posting up an indication of pricing, or perhaps a PM?
-
How many M powered cars are on the forum?

M3AN has an E36 M3, thats the only one I can recall at the moment. Any others? -
How about a slightly amended version: Just yanking your chain. Where would we all be without the VT@K Master?
-
Michael, E46. Man of small words.
-
I've seen the verts listed as a 330cic infrequently, mostly the 330ci.
-
HAHAHA very classy. (now here comes the scary part... there was actually a very small amount of ACTUAL ninjutsu in those movie clips)
-
Yes they should be the same as far as I'm aware.
-
330i is normally the 4-door saloon. 330ci is normally the 2-door coupe, but can also be the cabriolet. 330ciA is just the automatic transmission coupe. From what I've seen recently you can pay from $50k for an older 330i, up to $90k for a later model cabriolet. (pricing through a BMW dealer anyway, better pricing private sale but not that many come around).

Deft that car parks out by my work all the time, it is such a travesty... brings shame on all Bimmers. :puke:
-
L O L Glenn... jeez who wouldda thought that from looking at your car???

OK for all you gaming dudes & dudettes, what is the official verdict here on which is the best gaming system? Personally I've been a PC fan since... well since PCs were invented. But consoles have come such a long way now I'm actively considering one instead when I next 'upgrade.'

Speaking of crazy skies, look out for Mars late this month, apparently its supposed to be really big when its near the moon.
-
As a new company car on lease its gotta be a new car not used... so any of those used Bimmers are out immediately. The large family car will be a problem for you cain, as you will forever be comparing it to your 5'er. If you can put in a bit of your own cash I'd stretch to the new Golf GTI. I test-drove one a month or so ago, and it was blimmin brilliant. Gotta have the sport suspension even if you go for the TDi... the standard suspension on the new golf is not good. Holds ok in a smooth sweeping corner but try changing direction & it hops something chronic.

Yes that was 98, however that was before the last round of petrol price rises & I was paying $1.429 / L. Even regular 91 petrol is $1.40 now. In terms of 'shagging around' turn it into a mini-holiday. Fly up to Welly, stay with a friend & see the sights before your trip back to the Mainland. The k's will fly by if you're driving your own car for the first time.

I spent $80 filling my tank this week. Not sure of any tank sizing differences between E30 & E46.
-
As far as I know most new Bimmers are assembled in South Africa anyway. Emma are you getting a license soon??? (watch out Dunedin!)
-
Did you guys see the pictures of the car that killed those teenagers last week? None of them were even wearing their seatbelts.
-
E36 M3 vert, nice choice. Welcome to the 'team'
-
Just as well you're not me then, eh. I needed a car that wouldn't tempt me to go quite so fast... and something with a bit more class.

2000 model Nissan 200SX spec-R Like this one, but in gunmetal grey/silver Hot car, very quick.

I disagree. If you primary motivation in buying a car is horsepower, then perhaps you shouldn't be buying a BMW... theres plenty of Skylines out there. Bear in mind that prices at a dealer go *down* from sticker price, whereas prices on Auction go up on bid. I'd expect most of those auctions to get closer to $40k if they were decent cars.

Called up the dealer, the ipod adapter is about $320 plus installation. That sounds like a pretty good option to me, as it also saves putting the original stereo back when I sell the car. Will let you guys know if I change anything in the end.

Hey all, have a flick through the latest NZ Autocar mag when you get the chance, at the back is a section on Cain Chapman's 540is. Nice one matey... looking good!

Thanks for the suggestions, keep em rolling. Martyn that ipod idea looks pretty cool. In terms of budget I wouldn't shy away from upwards of $1k spend. Speakers etc. are already pretty good in the E46, so probably wouldn't bother changing those.
